LA JUNTA, Colo. - A judge ruled Thursday that there is probable cause for Rocky Ford Police Officer James Ashby to stand trial for second-degree murder in the on-duty shooting death of a 27-year-old man. Ashby will be arraigned on Feb. 12 at 11:30 a.m. in La Junta. He is currently free on $150,000 bond. Ashby is accused of killing Jack Jacquez, Jr. on Oct. 12, 2014. Jose Guereña died May 5th, during a raid at his southwest side home, reportedly after he pointed a rifle at officers. The team fired 71-shots in all, nearly two dozen hit the former marine. Weeks later court documents tied Guereña to a drug trafficking ring; something the family's attorney said isn't true. (KMOV) – Three men have been indicted for hate crime after threatening to harm an African American on June 4 in Mascoutah, Illinois. Anthony Kunkel, 25, Christopher Berry, 25, and Christopher Jeffrey, 25, have been indicted after the victim says the three men uttered racial slurs and threatened bodily harm to him which disturbed the victim. The three suspects were each charged with hate crime. If convicted, they face one to three years in the Illinois Department of Corrections or up to 30 months probation.

LANSING (WXYZ) - An Action News investigation is breaking new ground after two state police officers have been criminally charged. Lt. Luke Davis, Lt.. Emmanuel Riopelle and Monroe County resident Lawrence Dusseau face dozens of charges. Davis headed the undercover narcotics unit that operated out of a non-descript house in Monroe County. The indictment alleges he and the others sold off drugs and confiscated goods for their own profit. A military aircraft crashed at Point Mugu Naval Air Station in Ventura County Wednesday afternoon. A Boeing 707 fuel tanker carrying 158,000 pounds of jet fuel crashed shortly after take-off around 5:25 p.m. and burst into flames. 3 people were reportedly onboard. All were able to escape with minor injuries, according to Teri Reid, an Air Station spokesperson. 13 emergency units initially responded to the fire. Ventura County Fire Department brought in a water dropping helicopter to battle the blaze. The cause of the accident was under investigation.

SAN DIEGO, Calif. (CBS 8 ) -- The taxicab driver who slammed into dozens of people in the Gaslamp Quarter is out of the hospital. Sam Hassan Daly, 52, wanted nothing to do with a throng of media at his Belford St. house in East Clairemont Mesa Wednesday night. Daly suffered a broken nose and facial injuries when an angry mob attacked him early Saturday morning shortly after he slammed his taxi into more than two dozen pedestrians near the Stingaree nightclub. News 8 has learned this is not the first time Daly has crashed his cab causing serious injury.

An NYPD officer sold out his badge - and handed over his gun and other police equipment - to a crime crew that posed as cops to rob drug dealers, the feds charged Thursday. By KAREN VELIE CalCoastNews has learned that two San Luis Obispo police officers have pleaded guilty to misdemeanor charges of bringing misbranded Mexican prescription drugs into the United States at the San Ysidro port of entry south of San Diego. The officers, Dan McDow and Armando Limon, pleaded guilty to the misdemeanors in exchange for no jail time and a year of unsupervised probation, according to court documents obtained by CalCoastNews.
