A couple of steaks shoplifted at a Gardendale Walmart three months ago led to the biggest food stamp fraud investigation in Jefferson County's history, and launched 11 simultaneous raids this morning at convenience stores countywide. Led by the Jefferson County District Attorney's Office, teams of law enforcement officers met at 5 a.m. for a briefing and then fanned out across the county beginning at 6:50 a.m. The officers and agents were armed with 242 arrest warrants and plans to arrest 17 suspects. All 17 suspects were in custody by mid-morning, and investigators already today have filed for forfeiture and condemnation...

This is truly awesome. At this college....an alumnus is given high honors. He saved the life of an infant....who is graduating in the top 10 of the class from the same college. It starts at the 15:00 mark. It's incredibly spacial. Please make it go viral if you can!!!

I have wondered about Beck for a while, but loved his exposure of the communist network in the US. Since he left FOX...he seems to have changed...and the immediate disregard to the Bundy situation really made me sick. Beck didn't even give the guy the benefit of the doubt and touted the NYT version. I know he has risen to fame since 2001, ghost written several books, had rallies, etc....but to have a network, now? A base in NY....a major website (so buggy and full of cookies it puts me off). Does anyone else find this strange? And claims to...

In light of what is going on in Ukraine, I ran across these vids. Beck mentioned the author, today. Pretty interesting stuff (and chilling). Anyone read the books mentioned? Thinking about buying.

This is quite a good documentary of Putin that I ran across if anyone's interested. He, truly, is a VERY dangerous man. I know, myself, have admired his strong-arming on particular issues, but don't forget who he is and his background. The dissident at the end is crying that he knows that Communism has returned to Russia. Heartfelt. Putin has a definite stronghold on Europe through energy. IOW....."Who run BarterTown?"

OAK FOREST - An assignment sent home from an Oak Forest, IL high school government class is raising eyebrows among parents who are shocked by the questionnaire they and their children are required to fill out. I've had about ENOUGH about the bullies at school. Taught my kids to FIGHT as long as they don't start it. But they've really 'jumped the shark' on this one. I guess we can expect 'gov intervention' on this? Seriously?

I need help with a photo. Linked from The Blaze. This was floating around on the internet and I just happened to look at it, again. The younger brother (who police are chasing) is clearly pictured leaving (the one circled). If you look at the picture closely.....I think his older brother is on the right wearing khakis and that hat. Am I wrong? My son and I think it's him. He's near a baby stroller tucked behind another woman.
