  • God's Word Stands: Not All Israel is Israel

Good points. Genetically, the man Jacob/Israel had 12 sons and then Joseph’s inheritance was a double portion to Ephraim and Manasseh. Many peoples that are descended from these lines do not even know their heritage. Those ‘tribes’ migrated and spread all over the world. When Jesus/Immanuel (God with us) laid down His life as a perfect sacrifice He rent the veil and opened up salvation and God’s promises to ‘whosoever believeth in Him’ of any genetic race. Some tribes have lost the promises on a national level, but Jesus opened up salvation and the promises to each of us individually based on our willingness to believeth in Him, regardless of nationality or race.

What about working within the system to change it to represent moral values of the majority of people? The government as set up in this God blessed nation is supposed to represent the will of the people. The way courts have changed from honoring The Law into interpreting, changing and working off precedents instead of the merits of each individual case based on how God said to judge justly are why this moral dilemma exists in the first place.

have you seen this lawsuit which demands the courts to settle “natural born” so the Armed Forces will KNOW if they are to lawfully disobey orders from a foreign national OR to lawfully obey orders from our Commander in Chief? http://alanpetersnewsbriefs.blogspot.com/2009/01/lawsuit-by-officer.html

It’s God’s awards that will matter most when each soldier stands in front of Him. He knows the hearts and souls and who put everything they had on the line in service to protect others. Battles in this world are fought on many fronts. Thank you to every soldier who defends our liberties. I pray for you all to be blessed richly.

Yes ma’am...I am. But why don’t you just spell it for what it is?? Christ Mass. I’m not catholic...I’m a protestant.
To understand that statement you would have to back track in history to see exactly what I would have been protesting...had I been there. I still protest. I refuse to be grafted in to this New One World Order..(which will have its umbrella religion of tolerance) by going along to get along with things I don’t believe in, or are not set forth in scripture.
I am not called as a believer to do that...not at all!!
And yes..I will judge myself far quicker than I will judge you or anyone else.

I will work out my own salvation with fear and trembling...as told to do.

Okaaaay. I’m not sure where you felt I told you what to do other than what was right for you? I leave judgement up to God for both you and I. It is His right and no one else’s. Each person stands alone in front of Him and answers to Him for their own actions/decisions/searching. I hope we agree on that.

briarbey b, if you are concerned about a Christmas tree swaying your studies and searching for truth in God’s Word then you are doing well to stay away from that. There were Feasts set up as examples of our coming Lord, if you choose to believe Christmas was arbitrarily chosen by a disorderly God, that is your choice as well. Live and let live. I won’t judge you. You sound like you’re doing exactly what you need to do for you.

God calls Himself a green fir tree which represents everlasting life. I don’t know anyone who worships the Christmas tree and think that tree gave them life. If someone were to find themselves worshipping the tree, instead of God and Jesus’ dwelling with man, then I would say Jeremiah 10 pertains.

I love all these comments. I love God’s Word and believe it is true and documents itself over and over. It’s up to us to search it out and come to the truth at our own pace, with God’s guidance and fully digesting. There is a lot of passion here for searching and a lot of interesting facts to ruminate over. Thank you to everyone who has shared.

The main thing for Christians, it is true, is John 3:16 “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” That is A LOT of love from our heavenly Father.

I agree with much of your Biblical reasoning, but why wouldn’t the date that Jesus first “tabernacled” with us be the date He was miraculously conceived? Isn’t that when He truly began to dwell with man on earth? If His conception was 12/25, His birth would be at the end of Sept.

Owning sheep myself, I can tell you that if the pastures were lush, there is no way the shepherds would have gotten the sheep to head into town as they need to for lambing season. Those shepherds would not have left their sheep either. The sheep get used to patterns-come in from pasture to the lambing sheds, have their lambs, when the pastures are ready and lush again, they head back out with speed. Turning them around would be pretty difficult.
