The muslim crusades around the 12th century brought arabic numerals to the west where rational thought and arabic numerals were fused creating science as we know it giving us those wonderful gothic cathedrals which required such calculating abilities and so much more in the years to come... so in an indirect sort of way islam greatly advanced science by bringing with them on their crusades arabic numerals. next in concern to 99% of the posts I've seen here I would like to post an agreement, I'm assuming, we all read before clicking on 'I agree' when registering to post on this forum.
