"I am going to look at the replay of Geraldo's At Large, but to answer your question Geraldo said something to the affect of someone knowing something about who killed Laci, and the guy on his show said that Amber knew who killed Laci too, and then it went to a commercial"

Ms. Frey was introduced to Scott by a friend of his. The assumption is that he has buddy that he confided in about any problems he had, etc. They are hoping this unknown friend will provide information.
Also, there was blood spots found in the kitchen and unconfirmed reports of blood in SP's boat..Interesting that he didn't catch any fish that day.

"IMO, the police "staged" this.....to get Scotty boy to start cooperating, to start admitting other things he said are lies.....she could have gotten money for those pics; she could have not even gone to the police in December....I doubt she was motivated by the desire for fame or money or anything else untoward. "

I agree and to add to that, her talking to police and then the public instead of tabloids does give her credibilty as a witness to anything he said to her about his wife should her testimony be required to prove a case against SP.

"I was under the impression that there's a greater need to get the emotionally disturbed OFF the streets and into padded cells. "

From the article I believe they are referring to nursing homes as institutions since people there are essentially locked up.

I certainly hope they don't try to apply that to the emotionally disturbed.

How's that for a marriage penalty? I wonder if Ms. Mitchell's head hurts when she gets these ideas.

So much for her idea that "everyone gets a break". Her idea is still discrimating against some people..

To paraphrase a saying, when you lower your standards, people will strive to meet the lowest standards.

"OTOH, cows on an organic dairy are generally healthier than cows in non-organic dairies. The reason is that most dairy cows are kept in confinements. Many of these confinements use concrete enclosures. Cows standing on concrete are more prone to develop mastitis, an infection that causes pus to get into the milk. At an orgainc dairy, the cows are kept on pasture. As a result, they almost never get mastitis or other infections for that matter. So, they are generally healthier and don't need medical treatment."

Cows are not kept in confinements...They are MILKED in stall-like concrete enclosures and then they are sent back to the pasture after being milked.
According to http://www.case-world.com/caw.lumast.html mastitis is caused by micro-organisms such as e-coli, staph, etc. Mastitis is also known as bluebag which means the udder is hot, sensitive and more often than not, not producing milk which leaves calves and lambs orphanned.

"I accept the fact that it's possible someone wanted that baby. But anyone who was serious about it probably would have known it was risky to induce labor early, and certainly risky to try to "cut out" the baby. "

I do hope that I am wrong about someone wanting this child of Laci Peterson's. I also pray that it was not her husband who commited this foul play of her disappearance.

I think it safe to assume that no liberal has even read what a trigger lock says on its label, (paraphrased): "does not prevent gun from firing if loaded prior to pulling trigger with lock installed".

Isn't that like buying a padlock and reading a warning on the package, "even with lock installed properly, the door can be opened just like it wasn't even locked"?

Pointless, just like most gun control laws.

"I think by non organic they really mean milk produced from cows not jacked up on hormones to produce triple their milk output. More hormones usually means much more puss in the milk as a byproduct. Kinda gross if you think about it. "

With liberals, NEVER presume to know what their terms mean unless one explains what it means to THEM...Remember even words like "sex" and "is" have unique meanings.

Umm I think you mean "pus" as in infection, not "puss".

If organically grown vegetables means no pesticides/herbicides, does that mean that organically raised livestock are not treated traditionally for disease nor is the milk pasteurized even?

"Far fetched....But, what if someone wanted that 8 months baby. can't imagine it; but these days and times and on the left coast...who knows"

In this day and age with so many women wanting to have babies, it is not that far fetched anymore. Thankfully, hospitals are making it tougher for some scumbag to take a newborn. That dad should have been home with his wife. When I was 8 months pregnant, my husband worked 17 miles from home and called me frequently to make sure I was alright.

Can't have those in carry-on or on their person, as those are potential weapons, just as a keychain is in schools.

"Sad. Curious kids (i.e., all of them) and loaded guns don't mix, and should never be kept in the same house. "

All children are curious, it is the responsibilty of parents to teach their children.

The best way to handle curiousity is to address it at an age appropiate level while at the same time keeping things like handguns in a secure place until such a time that the child is old enough and mature enough to use such items appropiately.
The idea that you can child proof the world, only serves to bring about more situations like this one.

Granted, they DO jump up on people to say 'Hello' but otherwise they are really good dogs."

"Researchers who make statements like this should be asked immediately to NAME the economic and cultural forces."

The cultural force of which they neglected to name is that these women know that if they get married and/or collect child support, they can cannot continue to collect food stamps, cash, etc from the government.

"They were not bred to be pets, but powerful fighters. They behave true to their breeding more often than apologists would have us believe. "

Interesting that you use the phrase "bred to be pets"...Think back to the reason most dogs were bred to be domesticated, work. Dogs were originally bred to do for humans what we could not: catch rats, flush out birds, herding and protecting property, some even specifically bred for gladiator-type sports.
Just in the last 50 years or so have the breeding of dogs focused on being companion animals that can also do what they were originally bred to do.

"Where are all the pit bull defenders today?
Usually they show up right away, claiming it's the owner, not the dog, that is at fault and pit bulls are really loveable, cuddly little things that are just misunderstood!"

Any large dog is capable of killing/maiming. Don't fool yourself.

A friend's dog of ours that has known our son since they were both just weeks old. She is a german shepard, a good dog who is well-behaved and trained. She was raised around kids, but she is also a guard dog who is capable of using her teeth to severely maim a grown man.
With that in mind, my son has never been near her without an adult very nearby.

I happen to like snakes. Snakes just want to be left alone and some species will attack only when cornered or stepped on. Fairly predictable. :-)

    Thanks for posting this.

Weirdly, I relate to some of that even though I was born in 1972. I grew up with relative who were 50+ years older than myself.
The house we lived in was a renovated/former dairy with cold concrete floors and a wood stove for heat. Back before the depression, and subdivisions, they had cattle and horses. Grandma grew much of her own food and canned it. I didn't eat fast food until I was like 10 years old or so and that was when my dad and I snuck away to Mc Donald's. I didn't discover the joy of pizza until I was a teen. Grandma always cooked dinner every night and on holidays and the other women helped clean up afterward while the men went outside and lounged.
Girls didn't call boys, it was too forward. There were strict rules for dating.

    I feel old now. lol

"I have heard that kids who have been on Prozac, Ritalin, etc. are unable to join the military. Is this true? If so, many will be unable to serve our country."

My husband was in the Navy. He said that to enlist, a person needs to quit taking all drugs before they try to enlist due to the urinanalysis test. If the person shows up with a doctor's note explaining why the person needs to be taking that particular controlled substance, they MAY let them enlist.

Now, it strikes me as odd that the Air Force is allowing their fighter pilots take dexedrine to stay awake to complete their flights. One particular pilot blamed dexadrine for the friendly fire incident..
