They use to be the New England Whalers and their home ice was the Boston Arena (now Mathews Arena). The Whalers was my first pro-hockey game back in 1974.
My oldest brother went to Harvard as well as a couple of friends. The one thing they noticed was that there was almost no Catholics attending Harvard. This maybe normal in other parts of the country but very strange and unheard of in Boston especially 20 years ago.
Harvard is a good school, mostly known for producing doctors and lawyers as well as Wall Street brokers. If you look into Federal government agencies you will see an over representation of Ivy leaguers, especially Harvard grads.
I usually rate schools on what their graduates accomplish.
Harvard is overrepresented with legacies and affirmative action types. MIT is tougher to get into and is regarded higher than Harvard by us locals.
Your right, but the number of woman who think this way is way out of balance. For instance Bush recieved 30% of the vote in Massachusetts (1 million votes). Almost exclusively male.
With the prevailing wage law in Massachussetts it won’t make a difference who is holding the flag at construction sites. Police or flagman will be earning the same per hour.
Lee Marvin said the word animal not enemy. I never had a cow attack me either yet we “kill” them. The word murder should be used in reference to humans.
Florida has two losses. Albeit to good teams. Which brings back the playoff argument which would solve a lot of the speculation. When I played football we settled it on the field. Talk is cheap, real cheap.
I support the local police department too. Yet I have never been a policeman. I am Catholic and I support my church yet I have never been a priest. I can go on and on....
