Holden calls special session Vetoes health budget provisions, more vetoes may be coming By BOB WATSON News Tribune Missouri lawmakers will return to Jefferson City for a special session, but Gov. Bob Holden doesn't know the date yet. He didn't say what specifically would be in the call, because he's decided so far to veto only one of the 18 budget bills lawmakers approved 10 days ago. Flanked by parents and some children who receive services from the Health and Mental Health departments, Holden this morning said he would veto the budget bill that funds those two departments. "We're not...

Somewhat a vanity maybe. So I'm sitting here at the computer with this new cell phone beside me and I'm playing with the wireless web browser. And like any good free republic addict, I decide that I should suggest a WAP version of FR. Wouldn't that be good clean fun to have the ability to check FR from anywhere using the your cell phone. Imagine you are out camping, away from the wonderful computer desk you call home, with no tv, and no radio...but you do have your trusty phone charged to the max calling your name. To which you...

I am in a sociology class and I am working on an essay about discrimination and prejudice. I'm not a sociology major its a required class. I need people that are not white males to answer these questions. I have been a freeper for years, and think it might be more interesting to get this information from a conservative point of view. So here goes: What is youro general experience with prejudice and discrimination? How often is it an issue in your life? Only Occasionally? everyday? Can you tell me about one specific incident that happened? How did you respond ...
