I believe in what Jesus said, in fact I feel my personal relationship with Jesus is in prime shape. My concern is, at the time He was around, my understanding is they were speaking arameic (sp). I wonder who made the decisions to pick a translation for words that the meaning is no longer known. I spent 26 years trying to deny who I am, to live up to what was told to me. After years of sleepless nights and talks with God, I think He has shown me I am ok. Instead of lying, and cheating in my head on my partner, I am being true to myself and others. I live by the same codes, not sleeping around, adultry, etc. But for the first time, I actually feel good about myself and others. The Church did not do this, or even help. They simply said, that is wrong - you are bad. We will judge and discriminate against you. My personal reliance and conversation with God did help. I try to show others to Jesus - even suggest they seek the churches that judged me, I have a single relationship at a time, I talk to Jesus all the time asking for help and support. Although many christians I know can say the same, many cannot. I feel you can live in the Spirit in a life long relationship with another of God's children, any one of them.

You say it is very easy to know precisely what the Bible says, yet the dead sea scrolls show there were many early revisions. These appear to be revisions to adapt the texts to the locality. Which one did the various translations use? Who decided that was the real word of God? Was it God, or the Church?

I've never seen this suggested before. Couldn't it be possible that homosexuality is God's form of population control? It is present in most animals I've heard of from dogs, to monkeys, to killer whales. According to the tenth edition of Merriam-Webster's Collegiate Dictionary, "homosexual" as an adjective was first used in 1892 and as a noun in 1902. We don't know the actual meanings of many of the words in the earliest bible texts, after all there are how many different english translations? I believe that consentual love - mental as well as physical - between two adults is well within the spirit of Jesus Christ. In fact, it is much of what He stood for. Did He ever once discriminate? If the early church's translations had not condemned homosexuality, perhaps it would have bred itself out. Maybe it is no more than God's population control after all.

Everyone keeps saying they have gas masks...no one seems to remember you have to remove it to eat.

Has anyone considered, China gets to see how our emergency/war response works? Maybe the Middle East did not act alone, or at all?
