Free Republic

I am told the theater was a Gun Free Zone. If I was a Colorado ccw permit holder and was not allowed to defend myself in that theater and had a loved one killed... Then the theater took on the responsibility for my loved ones safety, and knowingly put that life in jeopardy. Why wouldn’t this be negligence?

While doling out a punishment, all they are affecting are people who had no part in the original crime. They are all gone and will not be affected by these punishments.

Finally. Did the team do this? The students? The alums? This is like prosecuting other people walking down the sidewalk for not knowing a killer was in their midst. The punishment should only be directed at the guilty. And the NCAA, the guardians of ethics in college sports, FAILED TO GUARD and therefore are far more complicit in this crime than the students, the team and the alums. But the NCAA is the "prosecutor"? This is a sad joke. (And I'm an I.U. Alum.)

They would have been safer if half the audience is carrying ready to rake down a joker like this. Knowing that, he would go somewhere else.

I think Rush misses this point often. Because he disses the Independents often. I’m an Independent but want nothing to do with the GOPe and am a solid conservative. I don’t have trouble making up my mind on issues, nor am I swayed by bumper stickers and rhetoric. Yet he puts me into that undecided category often. I think there is a huge difference in being a Republican and being a conservative. Perhaps that explains why I voted for an obscure Democrat, who’s name I can’t even remember, in the last election rather than casting a vote for Lindsey Graham. There is a difference. The Tea Party is the only refuge for the likes of me.
