Try New Smyrna Beach instead of Daytona. 27th Ave. Park has free parking and is the beginning of the no-drive portion of the beach. More family oriented than Daytona IMHO.
As a quick follow up to the video that we posted roughly 2 weeks ago titled “Obamaween”, I wanted to thank everyone (both on the right and on the left) who thought it was amusing and either loved it, hated it, passed it on to friends, or emailed me on it. Last night as Veronica and I watched John McCain’s concession on the internet, I came to the conclusion that only one course of action was appropriate.
And so, with a final view count of a little over 400,000 in just under two weeks, we removed the video from the internet completely last night. I wanted (again) to thank all of the writers out there on the internet who “breathed life” into the video, and turned it into a viral monster baby that we never dreamt of or intended. I pulled it down,... in the spirit of hope, goodwill, and in the solemn belief that no matter where we go, and what we do,... there is a God up there,... and ultimately, He is in control. One crappy video added to or subtracted from the mix won’t alter that. And it seemed to be the right thing to do in the light of this unchangeable, and permanent optimism, which I think transcends all political, cultural and personal boundaries.
In the movie Fallen,... one of the main characters says to Detective Roy Hobbs (played by Denzel Washington),....
“Everything’s personal,... when you’re a person.”
I know that this election has affected many of my friends, colleagues, family and acquaintances in a very personal way. And so, in good faith (and beyond-intrepid hope),... I think now,... the time for spoof and parody is over, and more than ever,... the time for personal work ethic, and helping each other in a united effort,... and prayer has now begun.
I thank everyone who watched for their support and I wish everyone (both on the left, on the right, and in the middle) the very best during the next four years.
That’s right. My 9 yr. old daughter just received the H1N1 FluMist from our pediatrician this week. No problem. She has no chronic, etc. conditions. However my 1 year old, who is ineligible for the mist due to her age, could not get an H1N1 shot because the office didn’t have any.
