Republicans in Louisiana’s 4th congressional district will overwhelmingly vote to reelect Mike Johnson. The rest of the country will continue to despise him.
It was the same with Boehner, Ryan, McCarthy, McConnell, Graham, McCain...
Republican voters can’t see the forest for the trees.
I used to think that Mike Johnson was just another run-of-the-mill, milquetoast, moderate Republican. That’s changed. I now consider him to be the epitome of the backstabbing, in-your-face, RINO.
There is no “good” time to remove Mike Johnson from the Speakership. His supporters will use the same excuse after the election that they used before the election. Fear of turning the house over to the Democrats. Fear. Politicians love using fear to bludgeon the electorate. It’s very effective.
Johnson’s supporters on this site were saying the same thing about McCarthy. They said that removing McCarthy would lead to Hakeem Jeffries being Speaker. They were wrong.
SCOTUS nominee Ketanji Brown Jackson was confirmed by the senate 53-47. Three Republican senators voted for Jackson. They were Susan Collins (R-ME), Lisa Murkowski (R-AK) and Mitt Romney (R-UT).
Same with the educational system. Throwing money at government programs is a waste of money, especially if that money goes to the same people who created the problem.
Some of the posters on this thread won’t appreciate what they have until it’s gone. They can trash Boebert all they want. I hope they get the karma they deserve.
