On May 14, the Michigan House and Senate voted in favor of identical bills to ban dismemberment abortions (D&E abortions), the most common late-term abortion procedure. This is link to the commemoration (and re-enactment)of the Battle to free Mogilev Belarus from the Nazis June 28, 1944. It is quite the production and we know someone who participated yesterday. Not a lot of news comes out of Belarus, but they are definitely proud of their history and teaching younger generations about freedom. Hopefully it will catch on more.

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (AP) — Hillary Clinton will appear in Grand Rapids for an event honoring former first lady Betty Ford, who would have turned 100 this year. Clinton will appear with Lynda Bird Johnson Robb, the daughter of President Lyndon Johnson, on April 11 at Meijer Gardens and Sculpture Park. They’ll participate in a public discussion moderated by journalist Andrea Mitchell. Susan Ford Bales, the daughter of Betty and Gerald Ford, describes Clinton, Robb and Mitchell as three “strong women.” She says her family is pleased to have them celebrate her mother’s centennial.

Please help need Russian translation.

I could use some computer help please. I have a portable hard drive and am saving old photos previously saved on zipdisc (Iomega portable zip drive). I have 2 folders that show pictures (jpeg files which I know were Ok before). The details list shows the files and the bites are there on the zip disc but I cannot view them in thumbnail mode or move them, I get a prompt that says "cannot read" Any help rescuing these pictures would be very much appreciated. I've never started a prayer request thread but my mom who is 84 is in the ER with a heart attack. I spoke with her last on Friday and she did not sound good. I will probably be on the road tomorrow, I would go tonight if my vision was better. She is Catholic as I am so if you pray the rosary which she has done every day for so many years, please add her name -Bernice- to your other intentions. Thanks from my heart.

My 83 year old mom is trying to remember a tune from a John Garfield movie. It is called Pride of the Marines. I looked on the imdb website and had no luck. During the movie he is waiting to get on a train and tells some girl to not wait for him. He starts to whistle a tune, just a few bars I guess. I hope someone can help. We are elaving tomorrow on a graduation trip for our daughter to Nashville. Our camcorder will not work!! Its a Sony digital HandycamVision model dcrtrv7. Its about 6 years old. I sent the cleaning cassette through 3X at the advice of the sony service people via phone, and I still get thick black bars that run horizontal when I try to record or play a tape.
