    Regarding the comment:

“ABC is reporting this guy got shot 5 times, 4 times to the head.”

    One soldier must have missed.

Similar to True Grit, the John Wayne scene in the court room, upper lip vs lower lip.

    As long as he’s dead.

As a conservative Independant living in Los Angeles, CA, I can simply say that seeing the results of your election in such a liberal state (I know first-hand as my wife is from New Hampshire) and what this has triggered on Capitol Hill, and in the Democrat party in general, I can only hope this inspires others in similarly liberal states to follow suit. You give us hope. REAL hope, not the joke that is our unfortunate president. The punch-line of the decade, if not century, no doubt.

    Cheers.

Hahaha. You said “pulls out his device.”

How appropriate for “PerezHilton” who had to mooch off an actual/fake celebrity’s name in order to get himself noticed. Woooooonnnnnddddeeerrrrfffuuullll...

Prayers for the injured and his family.

Life can change in an instant.

A dear friend of mine ended up in the hospital 3 weeks ago from a paragliding accident and he’s now in the same situation and learning to get into and out of a wheelchair, get dressed, etc.

Again, sending prayers to him and his family. It’s times like this that medicine along with some good ol’ prayer and family love are what’s needed most.

    Envisio,

I appreciate the kind words, but I’m too young and stupid to post more frequently. I don’t want to step on toes, offend people here, etc. I’ve enjoyed reading for many years.

And I’m maybe too busy trying to find a new job in this delicious economy we have laid out before us. After several years as a commercial real state investment broker and becomming the firm’s youngest Partner ever, it’s still a tremendous task to find work either with a developer or lender or anybody “real” in the Los Angeles area. Between that and my background in running web sites and internet publishing companies, it’s annoying to hear that I am “overqualified” for various jobs, and yet all I want is a single job.

But at least I don’t have to worry about having a caterpillar in the same room as me. Oh, the horror! And, besides, Obama will save us all, won’t he?

What a joke, this Obama. If this “man” (maybe I should have said “male” since he’s no MAN) doesn’t manage to wake up the Republican Party then there is NO HOPE for the Republican Party. And no hope for this country’s futue.

Apologies to all for stepping in here but I just had to. Long time lurker here but this topic has me on fire. Can’t. Sit. Still. Any. More.

It is this sort of behavior that makes me give Hillary credit for one thing (and one thing only) and that is her assertion that a certain B Hussein Obama is in no way ready for a 3 AM call. He’s in no better shape to answer a late night 976-number. Actually, now that I think about it...

This man is beyond anything that I could have ever imagined and I certainly imagined the worst. In the approach to the election there were people hollaring about this being the end of civilization as we know it (Apocalypse speak) and how Obama is going to dismantle the country from the inside out, and I never did put too much weight in that. It was too over the top. But now it’s probably only a week or three past his First 100 Days. If he’s already this comfortable being so outrageously disrespectful to those who protect his abilty to take a fresh breath every day by keeping him (and the rest of us) out of harm’s way, I can only imagine what may be next. Slippery slope indeed.

And to think that certain people in this country, when asked the question, “if you could avoid another 9/11 by waterboarding somebody, for instance, would you?” And they respond “no,” because it’s too harsh or against the law or whatever their reasoning. And then it’s taken to a more personal level and they’re asked, “if you could save your child by waterboaring, again for instace, somebody, would you?” And their response is still no, I have to think those are not the kind of people who have any right to vote at all because they are not the people that this country’s forefathers expected to be products of, by, and for.

The above scenario of questions was watched by my wife and I this morning on a local morning “news” show on the local Fox affiliate here in Los Angeles. It was a stunning commentary on (please excuse me but I fail to find a more appropriate word in my apparenty limited lexicon) the “pussification” of America. And it’s not an isolated comment or a unique sentiment as I’m rather sure a lot of you here are all too aware.

And to CaptainAmiigaf, you are soooo right on! Military training, let alone things that happen at weekly keggers at coleges around the world, make half of these “interrogation techniques” seem downright playful. Give me a catepillar in a room any day. God Bless Daniel Pearl. ‘Nuff said.
