I don’t have a personal like or dislike for DST, but I definitely won’t like to see 8 year old girls standing in the dark at 7:30 on a January morning waiting for their school bus. Prime pickings for pedophiles, and there are so many of them now. Maybe the schools and bus companies will be forced to change their schedules to minimize the risks to kids. Women who are runners/joggers will also have to be extra vigilant while trying to do their runs in the dark before their work/shower/commute.

I picked up something in Las Vegas. It started with a sore throat the day I left, evolved into a cough and congestion the next day, and is now trying to descend into my lungs. I think I might have a cold that’s threatening to worsen, but it’s been more than 20-25 years since I’ve had one, so I can’t be sure if it’s that or something else. I’m throwing everything natural I have at it as well as some ivermectin for good measure. I’ll hold back on the azithromycin until it feels necessary.

I’m suspicious about Bill Gates’ presence at the tournament. The average age of members of the American Contract Bridge Association is 74.4 years, with 10 year olds on one end and people in their 90’s on the other. If Gates is looking to reduce the population, what better way to start than to infect thousands of people at a bridge tournament? Everyone travels home on a plane, potentially infecting hundreds more each, and so it spreads from there. I knew I should have kept a closer eye on that villain. We have no idea if he spent his evenings smearing deadly pathogens on every surface he could find.

Of course you’re correct. There are no absolutes and sometimes we have to choose between lesser evils. You’re also correct that this was not one of those cases.

I think you’re right, xone. We grew up poor but I don’t think anyone would call our neighbourhood a ghetto. We were always clean in our hand-me-downs and had enough to eat. If an adult asked us a question, we were expected to respond with courtesy and truth, though I do understand the self-preservation motive.

Not snitching is supposed to be a virtue now? I don’t see the world that way. “The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing.” Burger King is way off track morally.

And one final inconsistency about Luigi when he or his ghost-writer penned “toxic masculinity is under attack”. It’s hard to say which side the author of that statement is on because masculinity is very good, toxic masculinity maybe not so much.

I remember that Dick Morris stated at least once that “There is no group less invested in self-preservation than American Jews”, a remarkable statement because he’s Jewish too.

For me, it’s the exposure/arrests/convictions of the people who perpetrated and planned the multitude of crimes that have been committed, from widespread voter fraud, to crimes against children, to crimes against all of humanity (they’re all interconnected). There’s no point in “having IT all” if you aren’t going to do anything about IT. I’d also like to see the links between the crimes revealed in detail so the world can see the hierarchy within the organization that orchestrated and committed them. Full disclosure ought to put them out of business for a very long time.

I do too. He always looked so grim in every photo, and righteously so. He saw them railroad President Trump and he doesn’t have nearly the money or fire power that PDJT does. They still convicted PDJT. Penny probably thought he was a goner.

Democrats in predictably liberal areas should stop doing that. Some people are programmed from birth to vote D, no matter who the candidate is. If Adams switches parties in NY, some other D will probably win. He should remain a D and govern like an R. That’s how he best helps Republicans.

I saw Gates-of-Hell in the hallway of the Westgate Convention Center in Las Vegas today. I was walking with my bridge partner and looked up from my phone displaying directions to the deli in time to see him passing near me. I slowed and asked “Did I just see that slimeball Gates walk by?” I spun on my heel to catch up to him so I could tell him what a murdering piece of scum he is but my partner grabbed me by the arm and said “NO! Don’t.” I turned and gave my partner an annoyed scowl and when I looked back towards Gates, I could no longer see him through the crowd of people, and knew he could have entered any one of the playing rooms off the central hallway. Maybe I’ll catch up with him tomorrow and invite him to India 😊
