  • It's vital we don't rush to conclusions (in Inglewood police beating)

Something in the back of my mind made me think that we weren't getting the whole story on this from the media. I had to search hard to get something that was more to the middle ground the far left (anti-police). It’s funny how the video bites are so damning, and can be so far from the truth. I guess that’s why we live in a republic and not a democracy. In a democracy, this guy (Morse) would already be sentenced to death, no doubt. Thought you might guys might want to read this thought out editorial.

Hacktivism isn't so much Human Rights as it is Natrual Law. It's just that more people understand the consept of Human Rights.

For those of you that are interested in reading more about this sort of thing, here are two good links.

Here is a Slashdot article on Steganography

    and here's one on Hacktivism

I read somewhere that it was as little as one third.

One third of the populous or one third of the governing bodies? See the thing people have such a hard time with is that we are not a democracy, we are a republic. And the colonies were also republics, governed by representatives. I do believe that the majority of the governing bodies were for the rebellion regardless of what the common man felt.

    Wrong on both counts.

While writing this, I was trying to come up with some good analogies because I knew people would rip them apart. You did miss one, however, Allah is actually the Arabic word for God, and not the name of God.

At any rate, the analogies are irrelevant if you understand that none of them equate God.

Oh, and BTW, I've never been to college so it would be a bit hard to go back, but I do know a bit about comparative religion. Oh my, someone actually learning out side of school...

why would I want our government to have an effect on what I believe in

I don't think they should have any effect on what you or anyone believes. And forcing people to NOT say "under God" by ruling it unconstitution is doing just that.

None of us have any way of knowing. If there is, so be it. Doubtful though.

I could say "None of us have any way of knowing, if there isn't, so be it."

...and which one of us will be sorry if we are wrong.

Wow, you really missed my point. I'm not talking about what I believe to be God, the God of Abraham, the Father of Jesus Christ. I'm talking about what effect our Government should have on what I, and you, and everyone else believe. That's great that you're an atheist. No, aren’t you glad you don’t live in 1200 AD Europe? You would be killed for things of this sort.

You know the word JIHAD is very similar to the word CRUSADE. These are both words we used when we kicked the crap out of each other in 800 AD and 1200 AD and 1950 AD...the fact of the mater is that of course the word Jihad does not mean blowing up people in an office building, but in our mind it does. Much in the same way that Bush came out and said this was a Crusade against terror, it was retracted because Muslims equate that word to the Saxons’ murder of men, women and children. However, I think we can start equating the word Jihad with a internal moral struggle (as it is referred to in the Qur'an) when Muslims start equating Crusades with church evangelicals.

In my state (Washington) as part of the money they "won" from the tobacco companies, they have put up full billboard adds with horribly disgusting pictures. Pictures of blackened lungs, yellow (and rotten) teeth, and the like. And there aren’t just a few of these. In my town a loan there are about 8, two of which are in the same spot, on different sides of the street. It is nearly impossible to go through a day without seeing one. And this was done by the state. Personally, I don’t think you should display publicly horribly graphic material like this. But if the lefties on the tobacco war are doing it, let the righties on the abortion war to do the same. Perhaps she should start taking out billboard space.

You asked for a "recommendation". It's your rhetorical question but I guess I missed the part where somebody pulled out a shotgun.

Um, they don't use shotguns in abortions, just knifes and suction pumps.

You say that like it's a bad thing.

It's good to see you have not really consept of the value of a human being. I pitty you.

Bummer. Guess someone else would have to write that music.

Lots of people write lots of music every day...the point, which you seemed to miss, was that no one would have written Beethoven's music.

Who? Hell, just say Elvis if you want to make a point.

Um...I think he didn't use Elvis because it isn't true...oh, but does that matter? You can use all the examples you want, regardless if they are true or not, just to back up your point.

How do know it wasn't his second or third attempt anyway?

What the hell is this suppost to mean? Maybe Christ was Budha his four try...

Here's what the constitution has to say about it:

    Article 1 Section 8 Clause 10:

The Congress shall have power to...define and punish piracies and felonies committed on the high seas, and offenses against the law of nations.

It would seem to me that this is congress' neck of the woods, not the court's. Global terrorism is very similar to piracy. It should be considered one and the same, and we should go after it like the British did with piracy.

It's nice to see a judge how understands we have three branches in our government.

This is one of the most bizarre things I've ever seen. Don't these men know, that if they do marry this woman, that their relation ship started on a lie. They can't ever tell the woman (it's in the rules). And if you get tired of the woman, just pay these guys $80 grand more to find you a better one...ug.
