About two-dozen members and members-elect of the Georgia state House and Senate filed an amici curiae brief supporting Texas’ Supreme Court lawsuit against Georgia, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, and Michigan. In a brief (pdf) filed with the court late on Thursday, Georgia state Sens. William Ligon, Greg Dolezal, Brandon Beach, Brandon Jones as well as many more Republican members of the Legislature signed on to support Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton’s suit that argued the four states made unconstitutional changes to their election laws.

A historic occasion is occurring at the White House, and the gratitude of these people to our President is palpable.

One of the illegal alien suspects accused of raping and sodomizing a 14-year-old freshman at Rockville High School “is being used as an unjust scapegoat by the opponents of recent immigration practices,” his defense attorney said Wednesday. “Based on everything we know, we think he’s innocent. Father, we come to you in prayer with all the confusion and uncertainty surrounding our Country's collective life, and in our personal lives. Please protect our leaders who are trying earnestly to do what is right for our country. Let those who lie, cheat and steal from us in the name of 'serving' be exposed for what they are.
