South Carolina Sen. Lindsey Graham is supporting Texas Sen. Ted Cruz's bid for the White House, CNN Chief Political Correspondent Dana Bash first reported Thursday afternoon. According to CNN, Graham will host a fundraiser in support of the Republican candidate on Monday during the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) policy conference in Washington, D.C. This election season Graham has been far from shy about his dislike for both Cruz and billionaire businessman Donald Trump, whom he called a "nut job." Last month, Graham said the Republican Party had "gone batsh** crazy."He added that Cruz was so despised among his...

Marco Rubio is close to endorsing Ted Cruz, but the two proud senators — and recent fierce rivals — have some details to work out first. Cruz has to ask for the Rubio’s endorsement, and both sides need to decide that it will make a difference, according to sources familiar with the thinking of both senators. Rubio and Cruz, who are more friendly with each other in the Senate than they are with longer-serving colleagues, occasionally chatted and patched up their sometime-rocky relationship on the campaign trail heading into Florida’s primary Tuesday, when Rubio was blown out by Donald Trump...

The fight for Utah's 40 Republican delegates looks like a three-man race between Ted Cruz, Marco Rubio and Donald Trump. -snip- Among Utah Republicans, Rubio is tops with 24%, Cruz has 22%, and Trump is at 18%. 11% say they are undecided. The survey was taken after the New Hampshire primary, which Trump won decisively, but before Saturday's South Carolina primary, which Trump also won. Lindsey Graham may have thrown his support behind Ted Cruz Thursday, but he hasn't always had such kind words about the Texas senator. Graham — who is well known for his colorful statements — once said that Cruz was so hated in Congress that if someone murdered him, they’d get away with it. Here are 10 times the South Carolina senator — and former presidential candidate — bashed the same guy he’ll be fundraising for Monday: 1. "If you killed Ted Cruz on the floor of the Senate, and the trial was in the Senate, nobody could convict you," Graham...

Sen. Lindsey Graham will soon raise money for Ted Cruz's presidential campaign, as CNN's Dana Bash just reported. Which is an amazing turn of events, given the things Graham previously said about Cruz. He has said on multiple occasions that Cruz is would be the death of the Republican Party and is no better than Donald Trump. He has even joked about killing Cruz. To wit (in reverse chronological order): Feb. 26: “I was asked the hardest question in my political life: Do you agree with Donald Trump that Ted Cruz is the biggest liar in politics?” he said. “Too...

Sarah Palin called her husband Todd "tough" after he was seriously injured in a snowmobile accident. She wasn't kidding: a source tells PEOPLE that Todd's injuries were so extensive they required six hours of surgery overnight after the crash.

It’s funny how the tables turn over time. Ted Cruz is the only one left who can pose any real challenge to Donald Trump‘s Republican nomination, and now, figures from the political establishment are asking him to make nice with them before they agree to coalesce around his campaign. While his uncompromising stances distinguished Cruz as the junior U.S. Senator from Texas, years of stunts like shutting down the government and calling Majority Leader Mitch McConnell a liar have caused many of his colleagues to dislike him. According to CNN, Sen. John Cornyn and others have called on Cruz, after...

There is an old axiom in marketing: Good advertising makes a bad product fail faster. If you doubt that, may I submit Exhibit A: The 2016 campaign for the Republican nomination for President of Jeb Bush. It now joins the likes of the Ford Edsel and Coca-Cola's "New Coke" as a bona-fide marketing flop of an enormous magnitude. In each case, be it Edsel, New Coke or Jeb!, logic dictated a winner. Research for all three concluded a marketplace that was theirs for the taking. All three were rooted in strong family brand equity and even carried the brand name...

Yesterday, Donald Trump won his biggest victory yet, a decisive triumph in Florida’s winner-take-all primary. With the win, the tycoon’s hostile takeover of the Republican Party becomes overwhelmingly likely. Where was Jeb Bush during the battle for his home state’s primary? He was pouting. Spinning Bush’s failure to endorse his one-time protege Marco Rubio (whom he once touted for the vice presidency), or another non-Trump candidate, the former governor’s confidante Al Cardenas said: [Bush] put his heart and soul in this race, and the outcome was disappointing to him. You get emotionally drained, and you just want to stay off...

The Houston-based presidential campaign of Texas Sen. Ted Cruz suffered a major setback Tuesday night, as Donald Trump more than doubled his lead for the Republican nomination. After failing to win any states outright in a big round of primary votes, Cruz now faces dismal chances of winning an outright majority of delegates, and experts said he'll have to posture carefully for the future of this race and his political career. "The only credible path Cruz has now to the nomination is through a contested convention," said Mark Jones, a political scientist at Rice University's Baker Institute. That could happen...
