Trump should revisit all Network contracts between them and the FCC to ensure America is getting its fairshare of profits to fund critical infrastructure. Areas to be helped include: building the Wall, defense spending, etc. No more "million-dollar" 30 second commercial spots! All sporting activities that support anti-American activities will pay a special penalty on top of their fees.

Atheists should drop their easily dismissed scientific, philosophical or historical arguments against Christianity, and instead quiz believers about Old Testament violence and hell, writes John Dickson.

My High School-aged son brought home a flyer regarding a group at his school called the FCCLA (Family, Career and Community Leaders of America) Club and that there are dues required to to join. Do any of my fellow Freepers have any experience with this club/organization? In reading info about them at their website, I admit to the attractiveness of their motto and purpose but I also admit to being a little incredulous - that a Dept. of Ed backed program really cares about "family" and not just another avenue of indoctrination. Your feedback would be appreciated.

My church has been approached by an ObamaCare "In-Person Counselor" who is "hoping we can work with community oriented organizations in the area in order to get assistance to people who have questions or need help enrolling in an insurance plan...." This guy goes on to say that our County Health Department has received grants to "offer this free service" to those "who are uninsured or unsure what their health coverage options now are." I find it interesting that they are approaching houses of worship to host a "sales meeting" for the ACA - where is the outrage about the...

LANSDOWNE, Va., April 18, 2012 (LifeSiteNews.com) - Jim Liske, CEO of Prison Fellowship Ministries, gave the following update this morning to the staff and supporters of Prison Fellowship, Justice Fellowship, and the Colson Center for Christian Worldview: “Dear Friends: It is with a heavy, but hopeful heart that I share with you that it appears our friend, brother, and founder will soon be home with the Lord. Chuck’s condition took a decided turn yesterday, and the doctors advised Patty and the family to gather by his bedside.

I am looking to buy a home in the State of Illinois and wanted to know if anyone has had any experience with the on-line VA Loan programs that are available? Any in particular? Pros and cons of going this route?

I am looking for Freeper input on their experiences with websites that download full-length movies, mostly to purchase but able to rent if needed. I have various devices that I would like to play them on including an iPhone, PalmTX and of course, my computer. My preference would be to download them to an SD Card (or similar) and use them when my family and I are on the road, etc. Does anyone have any favorites or recommendations to point me to? It appears some sites have a membership and allow you download multiple movies while other sites charge per...

Dear friends, The Eighth Circuit recently clarified the law surrounding government funding for faith-based services that address America's intractable social problems. Americans United for Separation of Church and State had challenged the state of Iowa's establishment of the InnerChange Freedom Initiative (IFI), a reentry program for prisoners launched by Prison Fellowship. In the ruling, the Eighth Circuit held that Judge Pratt's injunction ordering the program in Iowa be shut down doesn't apply to programs that aren't funded by the state. Because the IFI program in Iowa is no longer partially funded by the state, the injunction does not apply to...

My family and I are moving from S. Calif. to Maryland and we are on Day 4 of our drive. We spent the night in Oklahoma City and hope to land in the St. Louis area tonight. We bypassed Clinton, Oklahoma last night as I was sure I would not get a good night sleep at all there! Please pray for our safety on the road and that our vehicles survive the drive.

The Marine "Gunfighters" returned on Easter after being deployed in Iraq. This is the group that lost a crew when their chopper was shot down last year over Iraq. There have been many clips like this played since the war began, but this one is special for me. The Captain (Mike) shown at the beginning with his wife and new baby are special friends of my wife and I. We have been praying constantly for his group to return safely and my heart is busting with joy knowing they are safely back and reuniting with their families. Forgive me for...

This morning while driving to work, Rick Robert's was going off on Bill Bennet for a statement he made either during his show or an interview. The clip he played was of Bennet saying (as best as I can remember): "If you really wanted to lower the crime rate - even though that would be horrendous and unthinkable, would be to abort all of the African Amercian babies." Robert's was saying how stupid this was and that Bennet had given all of the liberals/race baiters/etc. something to be critical of. However, Robert's did not play enough of the tape to...

I just got my copies of Unfit for Command from Brad's Grandma and there are still quite a few to be delivered. For all of you who posted to her that you wanted one, please get ahold of her ASAP so she doesn't get stuck with a big bill. Also, for those of you who have sent in your checks (or will), drop her an email with a cross reference of your screen name with the name on the check you sent in so she can mark you off correctly. Anyone who had reserved one and hasn't contacted her will...

Plates Killed By ‘Friend’ Hold onto your hats...it was Senator Tom McClintock who spoke against the bill that would allow Choose-Life Plates and had it killed in the Senate Transportation Committee on June 29! Yes, the same McClintock, whose staff referred to him as the “most pro-life Rep in Sacramento!” when I called. Really? Senator Kevin Murray (plates foe) actually stated he was going to abstain from voting and “just let the Committee decide”, which he did. It was McClintock who got into heavy debate with Senator James Brulte (defending the plate’s bill) and McClintock who led the charge against...

I have a brother who has some real personal problems from his past that has gotten involved with an organization called Landmark Forum. This has been going on for over a year, maybe two and has never been and issue with anyone in the family - until recently. He called us late one night and said that he wnated to throw a birthday party for "Bette" which, for our family, means that he is talking about our mom. Part of his problems had to do with a very painful split from our family, so this wasn't too much of a...

The pastor of our church forwarded a message to all of our members that included the referenced LA Times story. The Times writer included an interview with one of our church members serving in Fallouja as a chaplain. Considering our relationship with the Times, I will include only a few quotes. Our pastor, in his email, described how a few other church members serving over there had sustained wounds. Here are the words from my pastor:"Chaplain Scott Radetski is a New Songer, and many of the men attached to his unit attend as well. I'm writing today to ask that...

A friend's military husband just got popped for smoking weed. I know the policy before the war was pretty severe for first-time users (primarily discharge) but I do not know if this has changed since the war started. BTW, this guy had a pretty hard time in country and has been back all of 6-7 months. Not sure if that would have any bearing on how they are processed, but it might. Your help would be appreciated - I do some pastoral counseling on the side and would like to be somewhat current as I believe this could be a...

Many of you are unaware that I had made a major change in my life a short time ago by becoming a full-time missionary. After being ordained last fall, God has been leading my wife and I and our kids to serve Him and get out of the business world. Talk about having your faith tested! Well, we can use your prayers as we continue to serve Him. We are 100% faith supported, which means we rely on God to provide for us through churches and friends, etc. Would you please pray: that our faith would remain solid; no new...

There have been a lot of thread discussions about what the Pubs should do first. If there was a way to put together a Freeper version of the "Contract With America 2002" as we see it, what would your planks be? Maybe we can compile the list and forward it to one of our CongressCritters as our input to the debate? I'll start with this: "Fix our schools or get out of the business."

HOUSTON -- Two teenage sisters vowed Tuesday to not return to their mother until she changes her homosexual lifestyle, according to a News2Houston report. The girls, 17 and 15 years old, said their religious faith played a role in their decision to run away from home, but it wasn't their main reason. They said that they believe their mother's homosexuality is wrong. Link to story here
