because I don't see where Jim made "this same charge".

No offense rockrr but are you blind, or do you have a reading comprehension problem. Read again:

"Well, by God, if you people insist on electing another cokehead as President, you damned well better throw open all the prison cell doors and free every man, woman, and child you're holding on drug charges. And if you're gonna elect another drug felon as President, you'd better rescind each and every one of your unconstitutional drug laws now on the books, including all of your unconstitutional search and seizure laws, and your asset forfeiture laws, and your laws that enable your unconstitutional snooping into our bank accounts and cash transactions."

    Jim was talking about W.

Please verify the claims about Bush's cocaine use you've made in this thread.

    Irresponsible charge you're making there.

marajade, bigsigh is only interested in posting up the Leftist smear, not any actual documentation.

What did you say to FRs founder, Jim Robinson, when he made this same charge in August of 1999?

    "To: Freedom Wins

So, it doesn't matter if he snorted coke as a youth? It was a long time ago, a youthful indiscretion? Kinda like people who frequented sneakeasies during prohibition? Kind of a cute story, eh? Well, how about all the people whose lives have been destroyed by being arrested for the felony of drug possession? What about the millions of people who are rotting away in your filthy drug infested prisons at this very moment?

Well, by God, if you people insist on electing another cokehead as President, you damned well better throw open all the prison cell doors and free every man, woman, and child you're holding on drug charges. And if you're gonna elect another drug felon as President, you'd better rescind each and every one of your unconstitutional drug laws now on the books, including all of your unconstitutional search and seizure laws, and your asset forfeiture laws, and your laws that enable your unconstitutional snooping into our bank accounts and cash transactions. Well, I don't know whether to laugh or cry. You people are sick! Conservatives my ass. You people are nothing but a bunch of non-thinking hypocrits! You're a shame and a disgrace to the Republic!

And, I, for one, am tired of taking orders from cokeheads and felons! Elect another one and I'll tell you what. I'll be ready for war! It'll be time to take up arms and run the filthy lying bastards out!

I'm here to work against government corruption and to try to find a way to repeal and/or abolish unconstitutional laws and agencies in an attempt to force our government to abide by the Constitution. I do not believe a Bush Presidency will be good for our Constitution or for our Republic. I also oppose Dole, Hatch and McCaine on the same grounds. I believe that Forbes, Keyes, Smith and perhaps Buchanon would be strong supoporters of the Constitution. I'm neutral on the other Republicans whoa re running. I oppose all Democrats as being anti-constitution (and corrupt). I am not connected to any political party or candidate. FR will continue as an independent non-profit organization no matter who wins the election.

Pay closer attention Zebra, OBL IS sending videos out. We just aren't seening them. I wonder why?

"Bin Laden's whereabouts were discovered, according to the report, when US Central Intelligence Agency analysts – geographers and soil experts – studying the background in the al-Qaida boss's latest video suggested it matched rocks in the Toba Kakar ranges.

CIA agents, working with Pakistani guides, went from Afghanistan to the region to take photographs and bring out rock and soil samples.

These were flown to Washington where the CIA analysts electronically matched them to the video background."

    And

""His exact location is not known," Karzai told reporters at his Kabul palace. "Inside or outside the (Afghan) border, it is not clear." Karzai said recent videos showing bin Laden demonstrated that he was still alive. "Everyone can see those videos," he said."

Ok, this is twice now in two weeks that we've had a story which talks about OBL's latest video. Everyone here keeps saying he hasn't put out any videos in 2 years, yet now two different reports mention his latest video. What the heck is going on.

Hannity said today that his sources say this girl "may" have alleged rape or sexual assualt twice in the past. Thats why we need to see these police dispatch logs. It's also reported that the LA Times may be involved in this as well with the Vail Daily.

    -UPDATE-

    July 22, 2003

Final briefs filed in records dispute

    Randy Wyrick

Attorneys for both sides in an open records dispute in the Kobe Bryant case filed their final briefs Tuesday, preparing for Friday's rebuttal and possible decision.

Colorado Mountain News Media and the Vail Daily took legal action to force the Eagle Police Department and the town of Vail to open some public records that might be related to the high-profile sexual assault case. The request asks for dispatch reports to alleged victim's address.

"It is absolutely the public's right to know," said Robbins. "There are constitutional issues at stake here."

"If the court carefully considers the law, it will find in favor of the First Amendment."

The open records request stems from allegations of sexual assault leveled against Los Angeles Lakers guard Kobe Bryant by a 19-year-old Eagle woman. Bryant was charged last Friday with one count of felony sexual assault. If convicted, he faces sentences ranging from 20 years probation to life in prison.

Robbins said that under the Criminal Justice Records Act, dispatch records should be available to the public.

But acting Eagle Police Chief Gary Ward refused to make the records available after verbal and written requests for records that normally are made public. The Daily asked for dispatch records covering the past 12 months.

The district attorney is expected to jump into the debate this week, siding with the Eagle Police Department and the town of Vail to keep the dispatch records sealed.

Robbins said the Daily seeks are not the same as records sealed by a judge as part of the criminal investigation.

He said the Daily has also joined a petition by other media outlets to unseal the criminal investigation file.

Of the two open records petitions, Robbins said he thinks the chances of a judge opening the dispatch records are good. He said the chances of the criminal investigation file being opened are poorer.

This was discussed on Hannity today. A caller said these records pertain to 2 incidents where Kobe's accuser called police to report "incidents". The caller hinted she may have accused rape or sexual assualt aginst 2 other men. Thats why this reporter wants to get these dispatch logs. But seems the authorities are keeping them secret.

Did anyone else hear this on Hannity?

"Between 10 and 15 per cent of troops in front-line divisions covering the northern approaches of Baghdad have deserted over the last month, a senior British defence source said yesterday."

The estimate, gained through signals intelligence and aerial photography, indicates that thousands of men from Iraq's 350,000-strong conscript army have fled their positions without a shot being fired by allied troops.

"We don't know where they [the deserters] have gone," a British official said. "But they are not with their units."

35,000 down, 315,000 to go! Not a shot fired. Sounds like real progress is being made here. Oh, and we just got Saddam to destroy about 50 missles much to his displeasure. Again, not a shot fired. I'm liking this, and so do our troops.

You know I agree with the LLSS policy as a whole, but these guys spout it on just about every news story regarding the military. Now, if I had said that my brother was in Kuwait and he e-mailed me that war was starting at 9pm tomorrow night they would have every right to jump on me and him. But when they spout it on every CNN,ABC,BBC,NYT story it just gets old.

Yoy know what? I am getting tired of all you Loose Lips crowd. There isn't one iota of classified info posted here yet you folks always start with the LLSS BS everytime someone post what is in the news. Call ABC or CNN or whoever else makes these news reports. If it's being reported then it is most probably meant to be reported and higher ups in the military probably ok'd it. Don't shoot the messenger. ABC broadcast this not me.
