I believe the Lt Col had enough also. He knew that these Marines were not guilty of murder, Frank was not guilty of murder. In my “dreams” courtroom I have to wonder how four battle hardened sergeants would have reacted with an ending remark similar to this....
Looking them dead center in the eyes ....
SSgt Frank Wuterich did his DUTY..His Duty was to protect the lives of HIS Marines. He did HIS DUTY... NO MORE MARINES DIED THAT FATEFUL DAY IN HADITHA. NO MORE MARINES DIED UNDER HIS WATCH.

I don’t know about you, but this is the way I feel and will always feel.

One Pissed off Canadian Housewife

Ever notice how some people just seem to know how to write a letter?

This one surely does!

This was written by a Canadian woman, but oh how it also applies to the U.S.A. , U.K. and Australia .

Written by a housewife in New Brunswick , to her local newspaper. This is one ticked off lady...

“Are we fighting a war on terror or aren’t we? Was it or was it not, started by Islamic people who brought it to our shores on September 11, 2001 and have continually threatened to do so since?

Were people from all over the world, not brutally murdered that day, in downtown Manhattan , across the Potomac from the capitol of the USA and in a field in Pennsylvania ?

Did nearly three thousand men, women and children die a horrible, burning or crushing death that day, or didn’t they?

Do you think I care about four U. S. Marines urinating on some dead Taliban insurgents?

And I’m supposed to care that a few Taliban were claiming to be tortured by a justice system of a nation they are fighting against in a brutal Insurgency.

I’ll care about the Koran when the fanatics in the Middle East, start caring about the Holy Bible, the mere belief of which, is a crime punishable by beheading in Afghanistan .

I’ll care when these thugs tell the world they are sorry for hacking off Nick Berg’s head, while Berg screamed through his gurgling slashed throat.

I’ll care when the cowardly so-called insurgents in Afghanistan , come out and fight like men, instead of disrespecting their own religion by hiding in Mosques and behind women and children.

I’ll care when the mindless zealots who blow themselves up in search of Nirvana, care about the innocent children within range of their suicide Bombs.

I’ll care when the Canadian media stops pretending that their freedom of Speech on stories, is more important than the lives of the soldiers on the ground or their families waiting at home, to hear about them when something happens.

In the meantime, when I hear a story about a CANADIAN soldier roughing up an Insurgent terrorist to obtain information, know this:

I don’t care.

When I see a wounded terrorist get shot in the head when he is told not to move because he might be booby-trapped, you can take it to the bank:

I don’t care. Shoot him again.

When I hear that a prisoner, who was issued a Koran and a prayer mat, and fed ‘special’ food, that is paid for by my tax dollars, is complaining that his holy book is being ‘mishandled,’ you can absolutely believe, in your heart of hearts:

I don’t care.

And oh, by the way, I’ve noticed that sometimes it’s spelled ‘Koran’ and other times ‘Quran.’ Well, Jimmy Crack Corn you guessed it.

I don’t care!!

If you agree with this viewpoint, pass this on to all your E-mail Friends. Sooner or later, it’ll get to the people responsible for this ridiculous behavior!

If you don’t agree, then by all means hit the delete button. Should you choose the latter, then please don’t complain when more atrocities committed by radical Muslims happen here in our great Country! And may I add:

Some people spend an entire lifetime wondering, if during their life on earth, they made a difference in the world. But, the Soldiers don’t have that problem.

I too listened to the interview with Siegel and McGirk. Siegel was clueless as to the circumstances of SSgt Wuterich. I thought lawyers knew better than to ask or answer questions when they don’t know the correct response. Shows how this Haditha investigation was handled from the beginning.

Now to what I really want to respond to. TIM McGIRK. NO, we don’t owe any apologies to the Iraqis. Yes , civilian losses are tragic. Yes, civilian losses should be avoided. THIS WAS WAR. “War is often a prolonged conflict typified by extreme aggression, social disruption and usually high mortality.” Politicians don’t fight wars, our armed forces fight the wars, pay the ultimate price and sacrifice their tomorrows to keep AMERICA safe. Our Haditha Marines did what they were trained to do..and above all else they followed NUMBER ONE on the ROE. (no matter how many times the politicos want to change them) Marines can use deadly force to protect themselves and other Marines.

How innocent were the civilians of Haditha on November 19, 2005????? Now may be the time for 65 NCIS agents to re-enter Haditha and ask the questions that still go unanswered. Safa Younis is now 16 years old. Now may be the time to ask her why she didn’t go to school that day. Why she covered her ears to avoid the concussion of the IED blast. How did she know the bomb would be exploded? The NCIS botched this investigation from the beginning.

Our prayers and God’s blessings to SSgt Frank and the Wuterich family. Rosemarie and David, you fought the good fight. . Frank and his three girls will be in our thoughts and prayers forever. Our Haditha Marines fought the good fight. Americans remain safe because of the deeds and sacrifices of these Marines.

Everything is well with my family and me. Thanks for asking.

I have to agree with bigheadfred for the absence. The posturing and rulings by the government prior to the court-martial had my blood boiling. I figured that any comments I had would rile me up even more and might get me banned from the site.

The folks my family and I have met through FR is what kept us going through this whole Haditha debacle. I thank all of you for the support. May God bless.

It is amazing how the light of day and the bright sunlight allows the truth to come shining through.

Humberto Mendoza was a 18-19 year old private on his first tour in Iraq. NCIS secluded the private in a dark dungeon-type room, made him pee in a bottle and probably threatened him with deportation. He would have signed anything to get out of there.

Our Marines aren’t the ones who should be on trial. These unscrupulous NCIS agents need hanged out to dry. Sean Sullivan needs to go back to Chicago and prosecute or defend real criminals. The Marine Corps doesn’t need him and at this time, doesn’t want him.

I’ll add Pvt. Humberto Mendoza to my list of outstanding
Haditha Marines.

For the better part of 6 years I’ve had nothing but disdain and contempt for the United States Marine Corps. The fact that the Corps would allow this politically motivated persecution of our young Marines is despicable and reprehensible, to put it mildly.

Three Marine Corps Commandants have had the opportunity, have been derelict in their duty to end these Haditha persecutions. These are not the leaders of “Chesty” Puller constitution. This is not the Corps of Iwo Jima, Tarawa, the Choisan Reservoir. These supposed Generals have forgotten the meaning of “Semper Fidelis”.

When all seems forgotten....when all feels lost. Young men with character do arise to the fight. Sgt. Salinas, Lt. Kallop and MstrSgt Sax give me reason for hope. These men risked their tomorrows to keep us safe. Men like these make me proud to be an American. Brothers by different mothers.

I understand SSgt Wuterich’s court martial is far from over. More Marines will be called. When they take the stand and tell the truth, ‘the truth shall set us free’.

Rosemarie, Wuterich family, As this trial takes it's course, the truth continues to be revealed and the political agenda of this persecution is dying. More and more Marines will testify that Frank and His Haditha Marines followed the ROE and conducted themselves in heroic fashion. This travesty should have never taken place and the truth will set your son free.

Please take the next three days and hug and kiss your three granddaughters. Let them know how much you love them. Hug your Marine son and assure him the end to this persecution is nearly over. We are praying for his vindication.

Frank Wuterich is an American hero. He is a man who will stand and be counted. When his country called, he shouted his reply. S/Sgt Frank Wuterich is a United States Marine.

On 19 November 2005, S/Sgt Frank Wuterich led his 3rd squad- 3/1 Kilo Company Marines on a re-supply mission in Haditha, Iraq. The fourth Humvee in the convoy was hit by an IED. One Marine was killed, two others were severely wounded. The Marines were taking small arms fire from various locations around their position. S/Sgt Wuterich and his remaining Marines tended the wounded, secured defensive positions, called for assistance and returned fire against hostile insurgents. Wuterich and his comrades followed the ROE, implemented their training and survived this firefight in Haditha.

My Family and I have been praying for Frank and his family. Our thoughts have always been with them. Our strength has become their strength. Rosemarie and David, we know your pain. Soon, it will be gone. Your son is a hero, and the American people will not let their heroes down. When you enter the courtroom on 13th September, thousands of Freepers, thousands of Americans will give you strength. Frank is a good man, a good Marine, and God will not let him down. Our prayers are with you. Semper Fi Marine mom.

Nice to hear from you. Thank you and all here at FR for the support you have given my son and our family. Justin has returned to the civi life quite well. He’s weighing his options and I believe college is in his future. We’ve played a few rounds of golf, fished and worked on some firearms together. He even has a girlfriend. Getting back to some sort of normalcy.

T and I are just praying for Frank. He has a good legal team and I’m sure they are doing their best to work for his complete exoneration. Justin will be in Pendleton to testify on Frank’s behalf. Theresa and I would love to be there but I don’t believe it will happen. Our prayers are for Rosemarie and the Wuterich family.

This should have ended a long time ago. No one will ever convince me that Mattis didn’t cave to the pressure. He got his fourth star and is now head of Cent Com. I believe this was more than a coincidence.

Idealogs say it is times like Haditha which truly show the mettle of which men are made of. You Sir, have shown what true Marines are made of.
