These Dylan threads are always the same. People lose interest or they work it out, that he’s widely admired by conservatives who KNOW HIS WORK.

Dylan has been a political conservative since the 80’s, at least, and in his later years has written songs far better than what the MSM still hold up as leftist standards. He was a folk singer for about five minutes.
He’s the author of some of the best gospel music I’ve ever heard. I know of right-leaning literary critics who revere him (see Patrick Kurp).
There was a website, “rightwingbob” written by a very talented conservative writer, that lasted for years, with convincing arguments that Bob doesn’t belong to the Left at all. He’s one of ours.
I doubt if he brought up the subject of slavery but his statement about slavery is not very controversial. I’d like to see the whole interview.
And that he gives interviews to the Rolling Stone? They worship him and probably named their magazine after his song. I’ll wager that whenever the editors of R.S. have to deal with B.D. they’re pretty uncomfortable.

    yep
hehe. Andrea mitchel thinks it’s a tactical mistake , eh, everything McCain is talking about basically. So desperate to talk about Obama’s own words of two weeks ago and in 2001. “It’s minutes until midnight”... I guess that means it’s almost over, eh. Only it’s not minutes to midnight it’s 8 days.
Also she says Obama was arguing the at the court shouldn’t have any say in wealth distribution and that you have to be a law school student to understand that clip. You could see Mika holding her breath to see if this spin would go over.
Obama clearly said the Warren Court was not radical enough. He wasn’t saying the court was right to be “conservative”.

Thanks for this ongoing thread. Something compels me to watch Morning Joe, the worse it gets...I think because there is some suspense when they get too close to a whirlpool of truth and start spinning and get lost, but thrills like that are rare. Anyway it’s good to have company.

Yesterday I couldn’t believe my ears. They still wanted to talk about Mrs. Palin’s wardrobe. And then they said SHE kept the issue alive by responding to the attacks.

Then all that insider “diva” stuff. Maddening! I am sure McCain will win though. Hope I can tune in that Wednesday.

    Cajungirl Update

Not two weeks after her surgery, Cajungirl had to hold fast when Gustav came ashore. I believe this invigorated her, but then Gustav's powerful right had to land somewhere, didn't it, and Huey Long City got it on the chin, dont' you know...

She and how many hundreds of thousands of people have been without electricity ever since. Doctors' appointments were canceled or missed, due to the impossibility of travel or the the clinics' windows needing replacement. The airport was closed until yesterday I believe.

She and her husband have remained all this time and I understand the main staple of diet was peanut butter.

As you know from her post at #268, faith from this thread helped buoy her (and her family's) spirits tremendously.

Finally yesterday I learned that they have made their escape. She's had turkey and dressing and I've never known anyone to declare such a dish a cure-all but she praised it as such.

They are making their way now to one of their daughters', and plan a route Northeast.

The good news is that she has turned a corner and I've never heard her sounding so positive and upbeat. She will have a second opinion at another first rate medical center about her chemo options. Chemo starts in a week or two so, again, prayers are needed for C.G.'s continued strength, faith, comfort and recovery.

Thank you all again. We honestly believe your prayers and your great faith have been transformative and it occurs to us that others reading this thread may have learned of the efficacy of prayer as well. (Also the thread has given useful information on signs and symptoms of Ovarian cancer).

    GOOD NEWS !
Cajungirl had her surgery yesterday afternoon and all of your prayers ---for which Pat and her family are so very thankful---have surely, it appears, been answered! The doctors believe they 'got it all', and our greatest fear, of where all it may have spread, was discounted: it did not turn out to be Stage 4, as it very well could have been. The hospital stay will be four or five days, I believe.

God is good, all the time.

    He is "I AM!"

    (laugh and run and sing!)

lol we are just so relieved. thank you thank you thank you. I know many more here prayed than posted, too. Thanks to all of you for your wonderful and powerful faith.

good information, and common sense. This makes it all the more insulting to the viewer. But I’m wondering as to motive. Why is MSNBC using this style when they have new video of Obama?

I was expecting Sara Jane Moore to jump into the picture.

btw, I linked to MSNBC as an URL is required to post. But I'm pretty certain they are the P.T. Barnum geniuses who came up with this idea.

Tucker Carlson’s ‘analysis’ on msnbc was that Bush was comparing his political foes to Hitler! It made no sense, I don’t know if TC was drunk or what. The comparison was to Chamberlain of course. And in Israel , where they tried to exchange land for peace, the message is always timely.

MSNBC: they’re all stunned at how “idiotic” Bush is for speaking the truth. All they care about is whether he “meant obama”. And they go “of course he meant obama!”.

No, he meant the entire DNC and the Left.

People should tune in to Morning Joe, or msnbc anytime today... it’s actually funny how upset these dweebs are. Especially Schuster, of course.

“by requiring attendance as a condition of parole, people are coerced into attendance. This is just wrong.”

I know a lot of old timers who started out being coerced. If you are required to go to AA meetings 90 times over 90 days, you’ll have a good chance of recovery.

You’ll never meet a drunk who regretted getting sober at last. Will-power can’t work against alcoholism. It’s the surrendering of self-will and finding a whole new view of life that works. If ever there was proof of a loving, personal God, reconciled with us through Jesus Christ, it’s the true alcoholic who has had the obsession taken away.

I drank morning, noon, and night everyday for 25 years, just to stay ahead of a hangover and any realization of the seriousness of my soul-sickness. Now I am three years sober. And ever vigilant, always praying that God let me know his will for me, and to give me the power to carry it out.

It is a spirituality through moral inventory and amends.

Alcoholics have no idea what it’s like to feel well. They’ve forgotten. A lucky few realize they must work the 12 steps sequentially and then again, as a life-style. It’s a life-time commitment but as I say, no one who sticks with it ever regrets it.

Google the AA Promises for inspiration.

4 to 6 years in prison. That’s a tumble from the hedonistic heights of madam-hood.

Doubt it was shame that drove her to this. COULD have been though.
