Cold and overcast at Daley Plaza, Chicago today. A German-themed Christmas Bazaar set up in the plaza with a small biergarten and food, gift kiosks. A nativity scene(I don't know how they get away with that these days, no ACLU yet?)We had about 1/2 the number as last week, 30-40 people, brave, enthusiastic patriots. In the belly of Democrat machine beast, we got plenty of "go Bush", lots of people amused by us, and a few screaming at us, one young woman with a 7 or 8 year old child was bizarre.Hope this gore nightmare is over soon, but if ...

Hey freepers, I just returned from a Bush rally in NW suburban Chicago at Thomas Junior high school and it was a hot time in a small gym(about 85 degrees)! Several local congressmen and women were there, several running for federal congress, our former Governor, Jim Edgar. This morning my daughter and I went to Naperville, Ill. to a Bush-Cheney rally and Labor Day parade. Weather was cool and overcast, a welcome relief.Crowds were large(sorry I can't make an intelligent estimate), happy, not really too boisterous. Lots of children and babies along with their parents.Cheney introduced "W" to the crowd and he spoke for about 15 minutes, a PEP talk of sorts. When they left the stage, they went into the crowds and shook hands for 30-40 minutes! And then joined into the Labor Day parade, WALKING!(this surprised me because of security concerns).
