Moved to Shreveport area for business. (Sorry for vanity) So is this a lib town or Conservative or What? If any freepers are here please give me some scoop. I was listening to 710 am talk and heard this guy called Moon Griffon on a weekday talk show trashing Jindal bad and thought he was a big time lib. Then I catch him again and he sounds like me...big time conservative who is disowning the pubs because they are chicken S..T and no different than the libs. Any suggestions? I don't know a soul in this whole state.

Sorry for the vanity post but I have not seen anyone bring this up. Who should Sarah choose as her No 1 campaign advisor/Chairman. You know it will not be the normal conventional pick. I thing "Rush Limbaugh". He thinks outside the box...like the Ebay/Ried turnaround. Interested in hearing what other Freepers have to say.

Sorry for the vanity but We went over to Nueve Progreso today to buy pet meds and eat Arturo's chips with the trans fats and on our return noticed that the U.S. AGENTS were wearing bullet proof vests and one was carrying an automatic weapons standing right next to the agents checking passports. Whats up with that. Heck I live here and have not heard of any new alerts. I expected to see the Federal Agents on the Mexican side but not bullet proof vests and full automatic weapons on our side. Any one know what is up?

Sorry for the vanity. My son is at Hillsdale College as a freshman. They said he could use a wireless router in the dorm but it had to be "Bridge Mode" instead of NAT mode. I asked many people including Best buy and no one had any idea what I was talking about. IT dept wont help him. I bought him two different routers and he has been quarenteened because he is operating in NAT mode. I am now 1700 miles south and can't help him. The one he has is a Linksys Wireless-N router. WRT160N Does anyone have any...

I know this site is not Dear Abby but I need to turn to the freeper family for advice. I have been laid off from Wells Fargo Auto Finance Since December 10th 2008. I was in the top 3 people in the nation so I thought I was bullet proof. However when Wells Fargo bought Wachovia I thought things would be ok until Wells Fargo decided that they liked Wachovia’s Auto unit better than their own. Instead of taking the best from both companies they just laid off all of the people in their own auto group and replaced them...

Bruce, As a life-long Republican, what is your opinion on the points raised in the section “Why Did You Do This”: http://www.electoral-vote.com/info/votemaster-faq.html Just curious. Thanks, Michael

A team of fire investigators from the Valley is in Nuevo Progreso, digging through the wreckage of three collapsed buildings, in an effort to trace the cause of Saturday's massive and deadly explosion. Initial indications were that a propane or butane gas leak inside a restaurant may have somehow been ignited. But as investigators get a closer look, they are now focusing on a dentist's office as the point of origin, and are no longer certain propane or butane was the culprit. Weslaco Fire Marshal Jimmy Cuellar.. Meantime, it'll likely take the rest of the week to clear away all...

Well, this is funny in a scary sort of way.... Dear Dr. Laura: Thank you for doing so much to educate people regarding God's law. I have learned a great deal from you, and I try to share that knowledge with as many people as I can. When someone tries to defend the homosexual lifestyle, for example, I simply remind him that Leviticus 18:22 clearly states it to be an abomination. End of debate. I do need some advice from you, however, regarding some of the specific laws and how to best follow them. When I burn a bull on ...

An American Dream...................... : Back in 1969 a group of Black Panthers decided that a black man named Alex Rackley needed to die. Rackley was a fellow Panther suspected of disloyalty. Rackley was first tied to a chair. Safely immobilized his"friends" tortured him for hours by, among other things, pouring boiling water on him. When they got tired of torturing Rackley Black Panther member Warren Kimbro took Mr. Rackley outside and put a bullet in his head. Rackley's body was found floating in a river about 25 miles north of New Haven, Conn. Curious as to what happened to ...

Dear Friends: In NPR Morning Edition, Nina Totenberg said that if the Supreme Court supports Congress, it is in effect the end of NEA (National Endowment for the Arts). This situation creates great concerns about Congressional funding for creative arts in America, since NEA provides major support for NPR (National Public Radio) & PBS (Public Broadcasting System), and numerous other creative and performing arts. If NEA is lost or weakened, our lives are similarly diminished. In spite of the efforts of each station to reduce spending costs and streamline their services, some government officials believe that the funding currently going ...
