So what. The people’s vote for the candidate is worthless. The only votes that count are the votes for the delegates and they have been put on the ballot by the establishment. Trump could win by 60% and only take the minority of the delegates. Each Congressional District gets 3 delegates. There are 6 on the ballot in my district. Four are for Cruz. Several of them said they will not vote for Trump no matter what. Of the two that are leaning for Trump, their vote is not a given.

I have voted Republican or 55 years. My wife and I have manned the phone banks for the party. I have been a “runner” in several elections. We worked hard to give the House and Senate to the Republicans, but they just caved to Obama. I will no longer vote Republican if the will of the people is ignored. As Priebus said, “ . . this is a nomination for the Republican Party. If you don’t like the party, then sit down. The party is choosing a nominee.” I will follow his advise in the General Election.

My wife had breast cancer over 20 years ago and underwent major surgery. When we left the hospital she told me about the Susan B Komen foundation. She wanted to contribute so we were supporters even since. We participated in several of their “Race for the Cure” events.

When we found out that they contribute to Planned Parenthood she said no more so we stopped. I called, wrote letters, responded to their website and sent emails asking to be taken off their mailing lists. I explained the reason and they kept telling me that their funds do not go to support abortion.

I am still getting mail from them requesting donations. i call every month and they assure me that they will remove my name from their lists. Four months ago I started to return all of their correspondence. If they want to continue sending me mail, they can pay to have it returned.

It is a shame they will not accept the fact that people do not support Planned Parenthood. They feel that the drop in participation has been because they stopped supporting that organization for three days.

I made at least 2 cross-country trips a month in 2009. This year I cut that way back. I will no longer fly except in an emergency.

I do not think anyone should have to stand for the “naked scan” or enhanced pat-downs unless there is a specific reason to think they may be a terrorist. That means some form of profiling. El Al does not go through these gyrations, but they do profile their passengers. The agents are also trained to look for clues of any suspicious behavior.

I personally do not want a gay agent fondling my private parts. There is no way to tell if the agent is gay. I would not want my wife to have to undergo any type of groping that would be illegal any where else. She wears a silicon prothesis that she would be forced to remove. How would they determine whether her prothesis contained anything except silicon?

The full body scanners are an abomination. How do we know that the identity of the passenger is unknown to the person looking at the scan? TSA says that only same sex agents look at the scans? Do they change agents for each person? I kind of doubt that. They say the images are not maintained but they have been caught in so many lies that one cannot believe that either.

These procedures will not catch everything. What is next, full body cavity searches?

I have spoken to a representative of my Congressman about this. He said he will pass it on. I have also corresponded with my airlines of choice letting them know they have lost two frequent fliers.

I am sure the airlines and hospitality industry are very supportive of this. After all, they do not need my money.

Keep sniffing the glue. I really cannot see what everyone is upset about. Didn't a very large number of so called conservatives boycott the polls in November so they could “show the Republican party”? Obama campaigned on this so it should not come as any surprise. You should be very happy.

Entitlements are not revoked. Never have been and never will be.

This regime has already nationalized two of the three auto companies. They are well on the way to taking over our financial institutions. This will only give the impetuous to enact Cap and Trade. You really showed them. Will you be dancing in the streets tomorrow like the rest of the Democrats?

I went to school in the fifties. Boy, I really am an old fa..... Anyway, during hunting season we would bring our shotguns to school so we could hunt rabbits on our way home. We had to put them in the coat room. Some of us would also tend our trap lines on the way to school, but that is another story.

Why is everyone complaining about this. I seem to remember before the election a large number of Freepers, and Conservatives in general, that decided it would be better to sit out the election and let Barry win because they would not vote for McCain and wanted to “show the Republican party”.

Well, you got what you wanted. Barry is doing exactly what he said he would do and the brain-dead Democrats are in lock-step behind him. And YOU showed the Republican party.

This country is going to HE-double L in a hand-basket and you set it up. You made your bed so stop crying about it.

I see a lot of people complaining about this “stimulus” and a few questions come to mind.

How many sat out this election because they did not like McCain or some of his policies?

How many voted for someone else for the same reasons?

You got what you wanted so stop complaining.

As for the people that did vote for the Republican party, we must keep fighting. I have called Specter's Washington office and all of his offices in Pennsylvania. I got either a busy signal or voice mail box full message.

My better half and I each sent an email form to his office. We also sent Faxes.

I just want to thank all of the Republicans and other Conservatives that sat out this last election just to show their disgust with the party. There are times you must hold your nose and vote for the lessor of two evils. By not voting for the Republican candidate you are voting for the Democrat.

Maybe we should sit out 2008 just to show them!

I went to school in the 50s. I went to public school. We started each day the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag and recited the Lord's Prayer. When we were able to read, we read several verses from the Bible. Again, this was in public school.

If someone wanted to disrupt the class, that was ok as they would be escorted to the principal's office and would sit out the day there. If they made a habit of this type of behavior, they would be suspended. For the most part, we behaved in school since we knew the "board of education" would be applied to our bottoms. Even worse, a note would be sent home to our parents and we would have that subject reinforced. The teachers did not waste a lot of time trying to identify the student that was misbehaving. Identification of the group was sufficient. "If you are innocent this time, then this for the times we did not catch you!"

My mother stayed at home and raised 5 children. None of them got in trouble with the authorities. We would leave our bikes outside knowing they would be there when we wanted them. Boys were boys and played with toy guns and sports. We played cowboys and indians. Sometimes we made up the games. They did not try to make them into girls. Girls did their own thing and boys did not get really interested in them until puberty.

We didn't have a lot of money. Pop worked two, sometimes three, jobs so Mom could stay home with the kids. We had home cooked meals and Mom was there when we got home from school. Our clothing may have been faded and out of style, but they were clean and pressed. Mom would make dresses for the girls out of chicken feed bags.

We didn't watch a lot of TV. We spent our free time outdoors with the other kids in the neighborhood. The flag was respected by almost everyone. We all went to Sunday School and Church on Sundays. We did a lot as a family.

A lot of words had different meanings then. Being gay was pretty good then as it meant you were happy. You said what you wanted to say and did not worry whether it offended someone. If it was true, you were ok.

We studied math, english, history and geography. When we reached the higher grades we were separated in "tracks". There was the Academic track for those planning to go to college. The business track was for those planning a business career. We also had had the different "vocational" tracks. These were the machine shops, carpenter shop, automotive shop and electrical shop. For those that did not fit in any of the tracks, we had the general courses. Each track challenged the students. We did not worry about hurting someone's feelings. We were more interested in preparing for the future.

We did not have day care for the students. If a girl got pregnant she would drop out of school and marry the father. While there may have been abortions, they were not condoned by society. They were also illegal!

We were not given the newest and greatest car. If we had a car, it was an old car that we bought with our own money. My parents could not afford to buy cars for their children.

Christmas was Christmas. Schools had Christmas concerts and pageants. The towns put up Christmas decorations, including Nativity scenes. We celebrated Thanksgiving and gave thanks to God. We went to Thanksgiving breakfasts sponsored by the churches. We even, Heaven forbid, celebrated Easter. Sure we had the Easter bunny, but we also went to church and celebrated the true meaning of Easter.

I could go on, but you get the idea.
