Anyone Who Votes For McCain Is A Sellout To CONSERVATISM!
Randy | 4/1/2008 | Randy Larsen

Posted on 04/01/2008 6:26:48 PM PDT by Randy Larsen

All McCain voters are selling the rest of us TRUE CONSERVATIVES out!

Enough!

Show you have the values of your convictions and leave the BLUE BLOOD REPUBLICANS in Washington, crawling on their knees for forgiveness!

I agree 100%. Obama or Hillary and a Democrat controlled congress would be a lot better than McCain.

/sarcasm

I dislike McCain as much as the next guy but to vote for either of those socialist commies is just plain stupid. And not voting for McCain or not voting at all is voting for them.

Vote how you please, but I think there is honor in voting your conscience. In my case, not voting, but it works out fine. Listen to the McCainiacs--they don't really need our vote, so I don't see why you folks are getting your knickers in a twist when we say, fine, we won't vote for him then.

There is no reasoning with folks of your mindset, so go ahead, do whatever makes you feel good. I doubt he needs your vote, anyway.

a lot of folks like McAmnesty

I've never met the man personally, so I don't know, he may be a fine fellow....personally....

As far as being my pick for higher office, as a libertarian leaning conservative I can tell you that for me he's just barely into RINO territory, not far from the Democratic divide.

There are only two reasons that I may vote for McCain.
One - He'll take us to hell in a handbasket slower than either one of the Demoncrats.
Two - I do think he will do his best to back the troops. Whether that means working to give them the supplies they need to get the job done, pulling them out of places they already are in, or surging even more into places they are not yet in, I think he will do things for the TROOPS, and not necessarily for the American public, that the two Demoncrats will not do.

Due to the structure of Freep, I can’t reply to the author of the above screed. But to him/her, I say bite me. I’m holding my nose and voting for McCain—not because I’ve mistaken him for a conservative, but because if Obama wins and pulls us out of Iraq, there will be no Washington, all the blue blood republicans will have converted to Islam, and the White House will be converted into a Mosque (dome makes it perfect shape).

Conservatism is bigger than any one election, and its ideas will ultimately triumph. They can’t be sold out because the truth is not a commodity to be bought and sold, and conservatism’s ascent is inevitable.

SEE TAGLINE. DO I like it? No. I was for Hunter and Thompson. Would I ever, ever, ever, under any circumstances, vote for Hill or Obama? NO!

Somebody upthread also said something like this, and I’m gonna repeat it. I have been voting in presidential elections since 1972. I have only pulled the lever for our candidate happily twice - both times for Ronald Reagan.

Do what you gotta do. Just don’t call people NOT conservative or sell-outs because they vote for the candidate, even if it makes you all smug and sh*t and makes you feel better.

I gues this makes people who hold your view, Cut and Run Conservatives.

This is the kind of emotional crap that liberals pull. You guys should buck up and change this crap from within the party. Yeah, McCain is crap. But what gives you the right, to cut and run, come back in 4 years and demand this or that, when the rest of us are going to tough it out. BS, you dont stamp your feet and go home. You stop globalism from within. If you are outside, you only further marginalize your position. For you to leave our troops, on the battlefield, in the hands of Obama-Klinton, makes you no different than a Liberal-Socialist-Globalist.

I don’t care if you or Aunt B vote or not. That is your business. I have my opinions on what to do with my vote though. I buy my knickers two sizes larger so when they get twisted, I can still function.

Then don’t vote for McCain, if you don’t like him. Just don’t pretend that those who do so are somehow sellouts to conservatism. I’m more interested in doing my small part to insure the leadership of the country doesn’t fall into the hands of folks like Her Heinous or Obama, because I think they would be dangerous for us at this point in history.

I take it you spent 6 years a POW and being tortured Jane.

Doesn't matter. Doesn't make him presidential material.

No, it's not. And it won't be no matter how many times someone says that.

It was just the luck of the draw this year, and McCain came out on top. He wasn't chosen by the RNC, or in some smoky back room. If you don't like him, that's fine, many didn't vote for him in the primaries, including myself; I'm a FredHead. But in the interest of this country, I'm sucking it up, and voting for the candidate I believe will do a better job for this country than either of the Democrats would ever do. I'm not looking for pie in the sky, or desirous of making some sort of statement of principle. I'm dealing with what IS.

I don’t care if McCain did 25 years in the Hanoi Hilton. War hero means nothing if you’re going to destroy the country slowly rather than quickly.

Wow!

You are a danger to our country

McCain is a danger to our country.

Only small minded idiots truly believe that there are only three possible choices for President.

There is still time for a better candidate to emerge.

And from the comments on this thread, almost any semi viable candidate would have instant support.

McCain's lack of Conservatism isn't why I won't vote for him, it is his self serving treachery and the way he has treated Republicans.

Sadly most Republicans act like a wife who has been cheated on and publicly humilitated and has lost even the dignity and self respect to leave. So she'll stay, knowing it will happen again and again and she'll allow it to happen again and again.

Guess McCain's Republican supporters have more in common with Hillary than with Conservatives!
