    SESNO: Impact on the Republican Party if he does that? Impact on the race? MCCAIN: It's too early to tell. I would very much dislike to see Pat leave. He represents a wing of our party. In fact, he represents a viewpoint that I thoroughly disagree with. Sort of a protectionist, not exactly isolationist but kind of America-first viewpoint that I think is not good for the party or America. But he is an articulate spokesperson for that point of view.
