We've been having some fun at the expense of Nancy Pelosi and the Democratic Party's literally apocalyptic hyperbole and rhetorical overreach about the new tax reform law, showcasing examples of businesses -- large and small -- that are celebrating passage of the landmark legislation by paying out employee bonuses, raising wages, expanding, and making charitable investments. Â For what it's worth, here are a few additional examples that have cropped up since our last pre-Christmas post on the matter. Â As we await more announcements from corporations and small businesses across the country in the new year, I'd like to go back...

Supersonic passenger travel, which died out with the Concorde's demise in 2003, will make a comeback by the mid-2020s if three entrepreneurial U.S.-based companies can make jets quiet and efficient enough to win over buyers and fliers. Fifteen years ago, Boeing Co canceled plans to build the near-supersonic Sonic Cruiser, the last big attempt by a major manufacturer to speed up commercial travel. Now Japan Airlines Co Ltd <9201.T> and Virgin Group are backing one of the three U.S. supersonic projects, Denver-based Boom Technology Inc, which plans a 55-seat all business class jet. Lockheed Martin Corp is partnering with Aerion...

It's (nearly) over. Â By a 51-48, strictly along party lines, the US Senate has passed a GOP-backed tax reform package that will cut taxes for more than 80 percent of all Americans (raising taxes on a tiny, disproportionately wealthy fraction), benefit small businesses, and make America's extraordinarily high corporate tax rate -- both statutory and effective -- far more internationally competitive. Â All Democrats, including every alleged "moderate." Â voted 'no,' while every Republican voted 'yes.' Â The only Senator not voting was John McCain, who is fighting cancer at home in Arizona. Â This is a very significant victory for the White House...

In a bombshell report by POLITICO‘s Josh Meyer, the Obama administration is accused of protecting Hezbollah drug and human trafficking rings to help ensure a nuclear deal with Iran was achieved. POLITICO reports: Project Cassandra reached higher into the hierarchy of the conspiracy, Obama administration officials threw an increasingly insurmountable series of roadblocks in its way, according to interviews with dozens of participants who in many cases spoke for the first time about events shrouded in secrecy, and a review of government documents and court records. When Project Cassandra leaders sought approval for some significant investigations, prosecutions, arrests and financial...

Vapid Hollywood dinosaur Chelsea Handler came under fire recently for calling White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders a ‘harlot’ and ‘trollop’ because of the make-up she wears during press briefings. James Woods moved in with the kill shot Saturday morning. Woods tweeted a video of Chelsea Handler being urinated on with a caption, “This person berates the character of @SarahHuckabee on a daily basis.” #ChelseaHandlerHumanUrinal ... That hashtag is amazing and that’s why we love James Woods! In case you missed it, here’s Handler calling a young Christian married mother of three children, WH Press Sec Sarah Sanders a...

Flight times from London to New York could be slashed to just 3 hours 15 minutes by 2025, thanks to a $10 million (£7.45 million) investment from Japan Airlines. Boom Supersonic is developing a 55-seat passenger plane that it says will halve flight times and will be faster, quieter and more affordable to fly than Concorde. As part of the deal Japan's number two carrier has the option to purchase up to 20 Boom aircraft and will provide its knowledge and experience as an airline to hone the aircraft design and help refine the passenger experience.

Trump won the state of Utah in the 2016 election. He smoked Hillary Clinton by 18 points. He was able to earn those 6 electoral votes despite the fact that Evan McMullin was on the ballot as a third-party challenger. It was widely reported that the Mormon community, which McMullin is a part of, would side with Mitt Romney’s condemnation of Trump. Clearly, that wasn’t correct. Apparently, Utah is Trump country. Don’t take my word for it. Look what happened when the president showed up to Utah on Monday.

The economy’s rate of economic growth was revised up Wednesday to the fastest pace in three years, the Commerce Department said Wednesday. Gross domestic product grew at a 3.3 percent annualized rate in the July through September period, an increase from the previous estimate of three percent. The increase means economic growth was stronger in the third quarter than previously believed despite the damage done by hurricanes Harvey and Irma The revision also shows that the economy has been growing at a rate closer to what President Donald Trump said he would achieve than what many economic forecasters thought was...

A California man’s quest to prove the Earth is flat will begin sometime next week when he plans to launch himself 1,800 feet in the air in a homemade scrap-metal rocket. “Mad” Mike Hughes, a 61-year-old limo driver who describes himself as a “self taught-rocket scientist,” has spent the past few years constructing a homemade rocket from scrap parts. His ultimate goal is to fly 10 miles above ground to prove the Earth is flat and disk-shaped. Hughes has invested $20,000 into constructing the rocket, which he hopes will travel at roughly 500 mph. Hughes’ initial plan was to launch...

ALABAMA — Residents in and around Birmingham reported hearing and feeling a very loud boom Monday afternoon—some say their homes shook. The United States Geological Survey has not detected an earthquake in the area and there was no explosion or smoke reported. The unknown event was reported in Cullman, Walker, St. Clair, Jefferson, Calhoun and Blount Counties. The National Weather Service in Birmingham tweeted: Re: loud boom heard: we do not see anything indicating large fire/smoke on radar or satellite; nothing on USGS indicating an earthquake. We don’t have an answer, and can only hypothesize with you. 1) sonic boom...

Disgruntled Republican lawmakers are beginning to voice the same displeasure over the inaction of Attorney General Jeff Sessions as many conservatives have for months. The calls for Sessions to investigate the corruption surrounding Hillary Clinton and James Comey are growing louder. The people want justice. On Monday, GOP Congressmen Jim Jordan and Matt Gaertz called on Sessions to probe the FBI’s investigation into Hillary Clinton private email use or resign. Washington Times reports: “It’s time for Jeff Sessions to name a Special Counsel and get answers for the American people. If not, he should step down,” the congressmen said in...

Pamela Geller and Geraldo Rivera went after each other on Hannity tonight and it was EPIC! Pamela blasted Geraldo for hurling insults at Pamela after she was targeted and almost killed at a rally in Texas in 2015. In May 2015 two Islamists linked to ISIS drove up to Pamela’s “Draw Muhammad” contest and rally in Garland, Texas. The Islamists were killed by security guards before they entered the facility to slaughter innocents.

Sorry I do not have a transcript, but on Hannity tonight, Conservative DC Mega-Power lawyer Victoria Toensing said repeatedly that her client, the FBI CI just cleared to testify before Congress, has memos, tapes and emails regarding the Russian payoffs to Hillary et. al. to get the Uranium One deal approved by USG... and, according to FBI, Mueller, Comey, Holder, and Obama were regularly briefed about the deal and its illegality as it was being approved! Greg Jarrret says senior people will go to jail over this and the dossier payoffs... and yes, that might include the Hildabeast.

The Justice Department on Wednesday night released a former FBI informant from a confidentiality agreement, allowing him to testify before Congress about what he witnessed undercover about the Russian nuclear industry’s efforts to win favorable decisions during the Obama administration. Justice Department spokeswoman Sarah Isgur Flores confirmed to The Hill a deal had been reached clearing the informant to talk to Congress for the first tie, nearly eight years after he first went undercover for the FBI. “As of tonight, the Department of Justice has authorized the informant to disclose to the Chairmen and Ranking Members of the Senate Committee...
