CNN’s New York headquarters has been evacuated late Thursday night due to a nearby bomb threat. It is unclear whether the threat was directed at CNN or another location close by. CNN’s Brian Stelter tweeted that the headquarters had been evacuated while NYPD investigates. The network is airing taped programming due to the disruption, including “Anderson Cooper 360” on the East Coast.

A suspicious package addressed to the White House was intercepted on Wednesday, according to CNN. Earlier in the day, the Secret Service said that "potential explosive devices" were addressed to former President Barack Obama and ex-presidential candidate Hillary Clinton. The Time Warner building in New York City on Wednesday was evacuated following a report of suspicious package. The White House and the Secret Service did not immediately respond to requests for comment from CNBC regarding the package addressed to the White House.

Former Silicon Valley star TJ Miller has been arrested at an airport in New York City after he allegedly provided false information to federal agents regarding a bomb threat made last month. The comedian was escorted out of LaGuardia Airport by Port Authority officers and FBI agents Monday night around 10pm. Police said a homemade explosive device was the item discovered in a backpack at Pine View High School Monday, that forced the evacuation of the school. Police said if the device had detonated, it would have caused significant injury or death. Police have a suspect in custody. A warrant served at the male juvenile's home and items were found consistent with the materials used to build the device. Police also said the suspect had been researching information and expressing interest in ISIS and promoting the organization.

LAKE WALES, Fla. - Lake Wales police are searching for those responsible for detonating an improvised explosive device near the entrance of the JC Penney at the Eagle Ridge Mall Sunday evening. Seven members of a cable television crew have been arrested after they tried to sneak a fake explosive device through a security checkpoint at Newark Liberty International Airport, the Transportation Security Administration said Thursday. Tulsa Police Bomb Squad officers are on scene at the Oklahoma Air National Guard base after receiving a report indicating a woman was driving around the complex with an unknown device, an official said Monday.
