    HARTFORD, Conn. – Criticized for saying he "regrets" misstatements he made about his military service during the Vietnam War, Connecticut Senate candidate Richard Blumenthal is now apologizing. On Monday and late the night before, the Democrat told various media outlets that he made mistakes and is sorry for them. "I think he wants to put this behind him.
