Atlas Shrugged Part 3 to Begin Principal Photography Fall 2013 Los Angeles, CA - March 26, 2013 - Today, Atlas Productions, LLC officially announced that “Atlas Shrugged Part 3”, the third and final installment of the Atlas Shrugged movie trilogy, has been officially greenlit with principal photography to begin later this year. The movie trilogy follows the three-part structure of Ayn Rand’s epic 1957 novel, ATLAS SHRUGGED. Atlas Shrugged Part 3 takes place in a near future dystopian United States with the nation's economy quickly approaching collapse. While overreaching government regulations persist in strangling the country's few remaining entrepreneurs, society’s...
  • Pamela Geller Shouts Down Orly Taitz At CPAC Panel. (Told She Was Being "Inappropriate")

Taitz interrupted the panel with birther questions, but was told she was being "inappropriate" During a panel on Islam and national security by CPAC’s “Uninvited” anti-Islam activists, birther queen Orly Tatiz interrupted the question and answer session by repeatedly asking about President Obama’s birth certificate, and demanding that the panel explain why it wasn’t addressing the topic. “I think there’s enough substance on this panel, I mean how many topics can you handle,” Pamela Geller, the blogger for Atlas Shrugged, shot back. “Inappropriate. really.” “We are not a birther site,” the moderator, from Breitbart.com, told Taitz before she was shushed...

BOISE, Idaho, - An Idaho Republican state senator who introduced a bill requiring high school students to read "Atlas Shrugged" said he doesn't plan to push for passage. Sen. John Goedde, chairman of the Senate Education Committee, introduced the bill Tuesday that would mandate students pass a test on Ayn Rand's 1957 best-seller, frequently cited by conservative politicians such as U.S. Rep. Paul Ryan, R-Wis., as inspiration for their politics. When Republican Sen. Bob Nonini asked Goedde why he proposed making "Atlas Shrugged" required reading, Goedde got a laugh when he said, "That book made my son a Republican." Goedde,...

There has been a Utopia, Ohio, and there still exists a Utopia, Texas. In a country with a long history of creating idealistic communities, America may soon see another added into the mix — a city rooted in America’s past, or at least Glenn Beck’s version of it. Mr. Beck, the outspoken conservative U.S. media personality and commentator, this month outlined his proposition to create a self-sustaining city and theme park hybrid. Independence, USA represents a harkening back to a time of a simpler America and would be built on values he sees the country as now “going away from”...

We wish each other "peace on earth." Wishing is not enough. We must act on this wish by promoting capitalism on earth. Too many people (including some religious leaders) are promoting the idea that re-distribution of wealth or “social justice” is the best way to foster peace. But Christians and Jews need only read the Old Testament to see that God condemns stealing and envy so much that he gave Moses commandments like: “You shall not steal,” “You shall not covet your neighbor’s wife, and “You shall not covet your neighbor’s goods.” And in the New Testament, Christ promoted capitalistic...

IRVING, Texas — Hostess Brands Inc. is permanently closing three bakeries following a nationwide strike by its bakers union. The Texas-based maker of Twinkies and Ding Dongs says the strike has prevented it from producing and delivering products. Hostess warned earlier this month that the strike, by about 30 percent of its workforce, could lead to bakery closures. It said Monday that it will close bakeries in Seattle, St. Louis and Cincinnati that collectively employ 627 workers. The company has about 18,300 employees. Thousands of members of the Bakery, Confectionery, Tobacco Workers

Barack Obama has already done great damage to this country. He will do much more damage over the next four years John Galt Calling: Had Enough? By Doug Patton Thursday, November 8, 2012 “They believe in free stuff. We believe in free people.” - U.S. Rep. Paul Ryan, R-Wisconsin, 2012 vice presidential nominee When I heard Congressman Ryan utter those words during his speech to the Republican National Convention in Tampa last summer, I thought they would define the 2012 race for the White House. No statement so clearly describes the deep division between the earners and the takers in...

Unless you are a dead democrat voter stuck in a graveyard, you will notice an awful LOT of businesses are laying people off right for the last three days. It finally hit me, is Atlas starting to shrug or is it merely shuddering only to fall asleep again? Is this a sign of shrugging or is it a sign of the dragon shuddering only to roll over and fall back asleep again?

Hey team - I'm going to make a suggestion. That now is not the time to be sloppily bandying about Atlas Shrugged. It's a pretty clear concept, and I don't think it's good to be calling 'not buying newspapers' the same thing as 'shrugging.' It's the left's job to mutiliate words and concepts, not ours. But instead of harping on that, I'm going to take another road. "I don't believe it matters to me- that they're going to destroy it. Maybe it hurts so much that I don't even know I'm hurt. But I don't think so. If you want...

Early last year, Shout Bits predicted that the Atlas Shrugged movie would change the world. Well, no, it did not. The movie tanked in the theaters, and not for good reason. Not only was it burdened by media writers who lean left, it was not a very good production anyway. The writing and acting were stilted, and the production values were like a soap opera. Fortunately Atlas II, which sill advocates for Ayn Rand's ideas, is on its own terms a triumph. One would not know that Atlas II is a quantum improvement over part I by reading the reviews....

Dagny Taggart is not just the entrepreneurial heroine of Ayn Rand’s magnum opus novel, Atlas Shrugged. She is the inspiration of real women everywhere who are taking up her shield and fighting her battle for freedom using the weapons of entrepreneurship, education and free speech. The media continually talks about the “war on women.” What the media never admits is that the government is waging a war against women through unjust force. The government’s “weapons” include: domestic drones that violate women’s private property rights; unconstitutional taxes and regulations that make it nearly impossible for women to achieve their dreams; healthcare...

Dagny Taggart... has discovered what may very well be the answer to a mounting energy crisis - found abandoned amongst the ruins of a once productive factory, a miraculous motor that could seemingly power the World. Noel Sheppard's picture Americans have a first lady dictating what students can eat in school. Sweden's apparently worse. According to Swedish website The Local, a lunch lady in Falun has been ordered to stop cooking food for elementary school students that is "too good." Annika Eriksson makes lunches consisting of newly baked bread and an assortment of 15 vegetables for her students at the school. But the local municipality has order her to "bring it down a notch since other schools do not receive the same calibre of food." You see, that's "unfair." Her menu also doesn't comply with a...

To the millions of Americans unable to find work, to college graduates who can't get a job and are living with their parents, to the underemployed who are working at jobs far below their skill set and experience, and to those who have given up looking for work altogether, a 7.8 percent unemployment rate is meaningless. The economy stinks. And try as they might -- and they are trying mightily to rescue a man they sold to voters four years ago as a political messiah -- major media can't seem to transform a failing president into a success. 1. Rand focuses employees on money. Rand practically worshipped the almighty dollar, seeing the acquisition of wealth as a goal worthy in and of itself. Unfortunately, when that attitude spreads throughout an organization, a higher salary becomes the only motivation that really works. That means top workers will, of course, leave the moment they get a better offer elsewhere.

Paul Ryan is Romney’s pick for Vice President and now Ayn Rand’s name is on everyone’s lips. Many on the left are pillorying Ryan as an unrealistic “ideologue” because of his Rand connection. Many on the right accede, quickly trying to set aside Ryan’s admiration for "Atlas Shrugged" as youthful indiscretion. “Every young conservative has a fascination with Ayn Rand at some point,” Romney’s strategist Eric Fehrnstrom says dismissively. But hold on. If we actually consider the essence of what Rand advocates, the idea that her philosophy is childish over-simplification stands as condemnation not of her position but of the...
