BAGHDAD, December 07 (Online): Gunmen shot dead on Saturday a former secret police general who was in charge of western Baghdad under ousted Saddam Hussein, a witness told AFP. Gen Khalaf Alussi died at his home under a hail of bullets fired by four men, said Wissam Idan, a 24-year-old building worker at the house in the capital’s al-Yarmuk area.
