KANDAHAR, Afghanistan - A bomb exploded Wednesday inside a mosque in the southern Afghan city of Kandahar and local residents said many people had been killed or wounded. The blast occurred inside the Mullah Abdul Fayaz Mosque in the center of the city, residents said. The place of worship was named after a top Muslim leader who was killed by gunmen on Sunday in the city. Daoud Khan, a resident near the mosque, said up to 40 people appeared to have been killed or wounded. An Associated Press reporter at the site saw many body parts strewn around the mosque.
