Former Georgia gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams, now the founder of the voting rights organization Fair Fight, said that Democrats are prepared to win the Senate runoff race in January, and that 1.2 million absentee ballots have already been requested. "We know from the numbers that we’re in a good place; 1.2 million absentee ballots have been requested thus far," Abrams told CNN’s Jake Tapper on "State of the Union." "Just to put that into context, 1.3 million were requested for all of the general election." Further, Abrams said, "85,000 of those applications are from voters who did not vote in...

Community organizer and 2016 Democratic gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams said Sunday on CNN’s “State of the Union” that the Democrats were going to win the two U.S. Senate seats up in Georgia’s January runoff election. Republican incumbents Sens. David Perdue (R-GA) and Kelly Loeffler (R-GA) are facing off against Democrats Jon Ossoff and Raphael Warnock, respectively. Anchor Tapper said, “Democrats have won just one of the eight statewide runoff elections held in Georgia since 1988. Some Republicans are worried that President Trump’s continued baseless claims of a rigged election might discourage their voters from showing up this time. Do you...

Stacey Abrams rejected comparisons that she and President Trump are both “two sides of the same coin” when it comes to their refusals to concede in their elections, saying they’re not “even the same currency.” Abrams made the comments during a fundraiser with cast members of CW's "Supernatural" on Tuesday night, shortly after discussing her decision not to concede to then-Georgia Secretary of State Brian Kemp (R) after he was projected the winner of the state’s gubernatorial race in 2018. Abrams said her refusal to concede in the 2018 race and Trump’s current refusal to acknowledge President-elect Joe Biden’s victory...

Whoever wins the Senate runoff elections in Georgia will control the balance of power in Washington, D.C. With the Senate majority leadership only two seats away, Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-NY) recently declared, “Now we take Georgia, and then we change America.” Now cast members of the long-running CW paranormal series Supernatural will unite with failed Georgia Democratic gubernatorial candidate and Stacey Abrams for a virtual fundraising event on Tuesday to raise money for Abrams’ “voting rights” organization Fair Fight.

This week, Gov. Gretchen Whitmer (D-Mich) was one of those nominated by Time to be its "Person of the Year." The editors praised "her pioneering efforts to transform her state from an out-dated racist republic to a vibrant authoritarian dictatorship. While there were other governors who similarly ruled with an iron fist, none were as effectively 'in-your-face' as Gov. Whitmer." Gov. Andrew Cuomo (D-NY) was also nominated, but is not expected to make the final cut because "his state's legislature is not trying to impeach him. " Self-proclaimed Gov. Stacey Abrams (D-GA) also received a nomination, but is not favored...

Kamala Harris’ presidential campaign photographer, Aric Thompson, served as a Dominion Voting Systems (Dominion) technician representative in Fulton County. The photographer described Harris as his “long time client” – over four years, according to him. In a similar Facebook post, Thompson also mentioned that he was working with Democratic activist Stacey Abrams. ... Thompson confirmed that he assisted with the recount and is preparing to assist in the runoff election. Dominion has been the primary focus for attorney Sidney Powell’s series of lawsuits alleging mass voter fraud. Powell alleged that Dominion used a software lineage that was created for the...

Former Georgia gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams stated that President Donald Trump should acknowledge “the legal sufficiency" of the system. During MSNBC’s “Rachel Maddow Show" broadcast on Wednesday, Abrams said:

Hollywood stars are aggressively promoting a new Georgia organization called Win Both Seats that aims to push U.S. Senate candidates Jon Ossoff and Raphael Warnock across the finish line and flip the Senate in favor of Democrats. Win Both Seats, which counts Stacey Abrams among its leaders, is raising money specifically for “black and brown” community organizers who will apparently work to secure victory for both candidates. Comedian-actor Kumail Nanjiani and One Tree Hill star Sophia Bush are among the group’s co-founders, along with Democratic presidential candidate Andrew Yang and former Russell Simmons adviser Michael Skolnik. Black Lives Matters co-founders...

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) is teaming up with Stacey Abrams in the fight for Georgia’s pair of Senate seats. The New York congresswoman claimed that Georgia is a “voter suppressed state,†and vowed to mobilize for Abrams’ interest group, Fair Fight Action, a dark money affiliate organization she founded after her failed gubernatorial bid in 2018. Georgia isn’t a red state. It’s a voter-suppressed state. Last night #TeamAOC mobilized to raise $100k *directly* to grassroots orgs @fairfightaction, @NewGAProject,& more. Time to charge forward & support the folks leading the way. Let’s kick it up: https://t.co/w1F2d7pUFV pic.twitter.com/bqWA8p84xj— Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (@AOC) November...

ALEXANDRIA Ocasio-Cortez has asked her fans for their 'dream" Joe Biden cabinet - and Bernie Sanders, Ilhan Omar and Stacey Abrams all made the cut. On Monday evening, the representative asked her 10million Twitter followers who their "dream cabinet" was, dubbing it a "fantasy sports: presidential admin edition." Included in the responses were previous presidential hopeful Bernie Sanders as head of the party and Ilhan Omar as Secretary of State. People were divided on Stacey Abrams, with some users showing their support for the politician, but others saying "anyone except" her. One user insisted that a cabinet should be completely...

As Rep. Doug Collins, R-GA, and ranking member of the House Judiciary Committee, valiantly defended President Trump against the deep state coup trying to unseat the duly elected President of the United States, the mind pondered the possibility of a Sen. Collins from Georgia defending the President on the Senate floor. Instead, we got a big business donor whom we are assured has all the boxes checked and an “R” next to her name. You know, someone like a Mitt Romney or a Susan Collins or a Jeff Flake. With Collins, we would have been assured of a passionate conservative...

Thursday on MSNBC, “The Last Word,” 2018 Georgia Democratic gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams said the Republican Party was planning to have an “army” of people who are “going to get in line and try to scare people out of voting.” O’Donnell said, “When you look at the various voter suppression tactics that are still alive and still working for Republicans in this country, how do you expect that to impact this election? Is it happening in the states that Democrats need to win?”

Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden told Comedy Central's Trevor Noah that "there's not a doubt about it, Trump will try to steal this year's election. Look, we all know he did it in 2016. October polls showed him behind by double digits and the Billy Bush tape should've been the knock out blow. But a few weeks later to everyone's surprise, he was declared the winner." "Since he got away with conspiring with the Russians I expect him to do it again," Biden alleged. "Rep. Schiff had hard evidence, but the Republicans in the Senate refused to convict Trump after...

Jennifer Rubin may have forgotten most everything she ever knew before 2016, but she at least appears to have retained the knowledge that experience stands for something. She otherwise wouldn’t have dedicated an entire column on Wednesday to calling anyone who questions Abrams’s experience — what else? — racist. . . . Let it be known that filing paperwork to register the name of a nonprofit group and give a speech on TV are now major “accomplishments” on a presidential level, according to Rubin. Abrams has, of course, done some things. She won a state-level seat in several races, wherein...

Stacey Abrams is running a less-than-subtle campaign to be Joe Biden’s vice-presidential running mate. Republicans should hope she succeeds. If selected, she would displace Sarah Palin as the least-qualified person ever to serve on a major-party ticket. Biden should understand this, because he saw firsthand how much damage Palin’s selection did to then-Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.), the Republican presidential nominee in 2008. Preelection polls showed that 6 out of 10 Americans said Palin was not qualified for the job, and a Stanford University study found that she cost McCain more than 2 million votes.

Stacey Abrams has another distinction to add to her resume — she is among the most preposterous potential vice-presidential candidates ever. Her attempt to leverage a failed Georgia gubernatorial bid into a spot on the Democratic ticket is so brazenly absurd that it’s hard to think of precedents. But the 46-year-old African-American activist isn’t one to be constrained by standard political practice — or reality. She refused to concede her narrow but clear 2018 gubernatorial loss, instead alleging she’d been undone by a massive voter-suppression scheme.

Failed 2018 Georgia Democratic gubernatorial nominee Stacey Abrams did an “interview” with CNN’s Christiane Amanpour on Wednesday that was, like most interviews she’s done, designed to beef up her alleged vice presidential qualifications at a critical time when Joe Biden’s VP “selection” committee are helping him decide who his running mate will be. During the segment, Amanpour twice mentioned the fact that Abrams was “pitching” herself as the most viable option for Biden to pick, talking about how she was out there “auditioning” for the position and showing her “resume” because of what she (Abrams) “feels” is her “right as...

Stacey Abrams, a former Georgia State House leader, is aggressively marketing herself as a potential vice president for Joe Biden — increasingly irritating those in the former veep’s orbit, an insider said. Meanwhile, Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand has her sights set on something else — secretary of defense, say those familiar with her plans. “If they go with a black woman, it would be Kamala Harris, but she’s a clunky communicator and couldn’t generate any excitement for her own campaign with black or white voters,” the Biden insider said.” While campaigning for vice president traditionally requires a delicate dance of private...
