Rush said this morning on his radio show that he is sick and tired of "people on our side" who jump in and agree with the left and the media in bashing Sarah Palin and even Michele Bachmann. He was noticing that our side always say that we have to beat Obama 'only on policy issues' because Obama is polled as a really nice guy, but Rush made the point that the left ripped Reagan as mean and stupid and hateful also did the same to William F. Buckley somewhat but in today's age the left attacks Palin and her...

On Tuesday, Indiana Gov. Mitch Daniels declined to support a Republican-sponsored right-to-work bill that had sent Indiana House Democrats out of the state, like Wisconsin Democrats, to avoid a possible vote. And that’s not being well received by some conservative leaders. On his Tuesday evening program, conservative talk show host Mark Levin explained why he wasn’t supporting Daniels. Levin said despite Daniels’ splash on the scene and his reluctance to tackle social issues, this latest gesture was something to take notice of. “Mitch Daniels, almost out of nowhere, the governor of Indiana shows up at CPAC … he’s introduced by...

Washington (CNN) – Sarah Palin has added a veteran Republican strategist to serve as chief-of-staff for her political action committee, Sarah PAC, CNN has learned. Michael Glassner, an attorney and longtime adviser to former Kansas senator and presidential candidate Bob Dole, has signed on to steer the former Alaska governor's political operation as she considers a possible 2012 presidential bid. During the 2008 presidential campaign, Glassner managed vice presidential operations.

Two days ago, Instapundit/law professor Glenn Reynolds assailed the politics of “blood libel” in the Wall Street Journal. Today, Sarah Palin issued her own poignant, but fierce rejoinder against the vicious smears of Tucson massacre opportunists and drew on “America’s enduring strength” to pay tribute to the victims. They criticized her for not saying anything. Now, they’ll criticizing her for saying something. The blamestream media is already up in arms — can we still say that? — over the use of the phrase “blood libel.” Ben Smith at Politico has an exchange with Glenn Reynolds about the term here. Jim...

Citing an unnamed "source close to the three-term congresswoman," the network said in a report Wednesday that Bachmann will hold "multiple meetings to seek advice from political forces there and party elders close to the caucus process before coming to a final decision regarding a potential presidential run." Bachmann, a Republican who represents Minnesota's Sixth Congressional District, has roots in Iowa, having been born in Waterloo, Iowa. Bachmann also is...

WASHINGTON – Robert Gibbs, the White House press secretary and one of the most visible and forceful advocates for President Barack Obama, is quitting his job to become an outside political adviser. The change is among the many expected in the coming days as Obama redefines his leadership team to get ready for a re-election bid and a more powerful Republican Party. Gibbs said he would be leaving the White House by early February. The top contenders to replace him are two of his deputies, Bill Burton and Josh Earnest, and Jay Carney, who is the press secretary to Vice...

Sarah Palin continues to galvanize the imagination of both her ardent supporters and her hectoring adversaries. It is easy to understand her appeal to those who have rallied behind her and her possible candidacy for the office of president of the United States. She has a lot going for her: charm, personableness, natural smarts, moral probity, executive competence, independence of character, and a passionate love of country. These are undeniable advantages, or should be in any sane political environment. At the same time, she steps up to the plate with two strikes against her — or, in an alternative baseball...

The liberal media relentlessly criticizes Sarah Palin for her ubiquitous media appearances from hard news punditry to pop culture appearances. The Fox News analyst is “going Hollywood” with her latest stint in reality TV, attendance at Bristol’s Dancing with the Stars events. Palin is everywhere. More than any other political figure in modern history, the ever-present Palin has shown a phenomenal ability to remain relevant. Her savvy has left her progressives hand-wringing, potential presidential opponents sniping, and everyone else in America abuzz over what she will and should do next. Depending on your point of view, she is either a...

In a recent interview, Sarah Palin said to the interviewer that she will consider running for president if there is no one willing to do the job and take on the problems facing America. I think America is going to have to hold her to that promise. I can't think of a reason why Palin would want to be president and move to Washington. She clearly loves Alaska and has a wonderful family who also love Alaska as home. Palin clearly has a good thing going with the influence she has on national politics and election cycles. On a personal...

Undoubtedly at this very moment, two saffron-robed monks in a monastery north of Katmandu are earnestly discussing Sarah Palin's presidential prospects. In the favelas of Rio, the normally fierce arguments about the World Cup and the 2016 Olympics are surely taking a back seat to high-decibel debates over the pre-publication excerpts from Going Rogue. This is Palin time whether you believe that she is "The Divine Sarah" (as Sarah Bernhardt was once known) or the 21st century version of Barry Goldwater who will lead the Republican Party into the abyss. True believers stress her megawatt incandescence and her Facebook leadership...
