President Donald Trump will meet with Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein on Thursday amid swirling reports that the No. 2 Justice Department official's departure is imminent. "At the request of Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein, he and President Trump had an extended conversation to discuss the recent news stories," White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders said in a statement. "Because the President is at the United Nations General Assembly and has a full schedule with leaders from around the world, they will meet on Thursday when the President returns to Washington, D.C."

With support for the Kremlin waning, repression is all it has left. General elections this month have revealed that the Russian public is frustrated, uncertain about the future and electrified by protest sentiment. Kremlin candidates struggled to win their gubernatorial bids, while high school and college students—people who haven’t even started working yet — took to the streets to protest plans to raise the pension age. Political analysts chalk this situation up to Kremlin errors. They believe that domestic policy chief Sergei Kiriyenko has loosened the political rules too much and has invested too heavily in the spectacle of the...

A Homosexual Party for Cardinal McCarrick The renowned journalist Marco Tosatti wrote on his blog (September 21) about a party thrown in honour Cardinal Theodore McCarrick somewhere in the Castelli Romani, a short distance south-east of Rome. According to Tosatti the party was organised by “homosexual circles.” It is unclear when the event took place. Because he was a liberal, McCarrick enjoyed for decades the protection of the oligarch media and of the Church establishment although his homosexual misconduct was no secret. You are watching a game of chess. President Trump and his Administration are 12 moves ahead of the cabal. I will explain, but first lets review some recent DoJ history: •Jeff Sessions: On November 18, 2016, President Trump nominated Jeff Sessions to become the 84th Attorney General of the United States. Mr. Sessions was confirmed by a very close 52-47 vote on February 8, 2017, and then sworn into office on February 9, 2017. On March 2, 2017, Mr. Sessions recused himself from Russia investigations. This was done by design - but that's another story. •Rod Rosenstein: On February 1,...

NEW YORK (ChurchMilitant.com) - New York's Cdl. Timothy Dolan is reportedly trying to leave his post to become new head of the Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulchre of Jerusalem. Well-placed sources inform Church Militant he possibly wants out of New York before the NY State Attorney General Barbara Underwood gets too deep into her sex abuse investigation of the archdiocese. Underwood announced Sept. 6 she had subpoenaed personnel files and records related to clerical abuse from all eight Catholic dioceses in New York. The information of Dolan's possible departure comes amid news that longtime vicar general Mustaciuolo is leaving...

It has been obligatory for American presidents to give lip service to the "value" of the United Nations as an organization vital for world peace. U.N. diplomats love to hear that kind of stuff because they think it justifies their massive expense accounts and other perks that come with living high on the hog in New York City. Donald Trump will pay a visit to New York this week. He will address the U.N. General Assembly on Tuesday (where many representatives are expected to sit on their hands or walk out) and then chair a meeting of the Security Council...

The chief of police in Montgomery County, Md., says his officers are not looking into sexual misconduct allegations against Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh, appearing to contradict a local news report that "investigators" were looking at a potential second high school misconduct allegation. "I have spoken with my chief of detectives, and neither of us have any knowledge of anyone coming forward to us to report any allegations involving Judge Kavanaugh," police Chief J. Thomas Manger told the Washington Examiner in an email. The Montgomery County Sentinel reported Monday that "Montgomery County investigators" were "looking at" a " potential second...

The rubber is about to meet the road for Senate Republicans. They have a simple choice: they can vote to confirm Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh, thereby ending the baseless and unsubstantiated Democrat- and media-fueled smear campaign against him, or they can kiss House and Senate majorities goodbye for the next decade, if not longer. [....] A refusal to vote to confirm Kavanaugh in the face of a blatantly obvious Democrat smear campaign, orchestrated in concert with a compliant and obscenely partisan national media, will be strike three, and there will be no more at-bats. I have spent a career...

Three prominent US scientists have been pushed to resign over the past 10 days after damning revelations about their methods... (Skip) "The good news is that we are finally starting to see a lot of these cases become public," said Ivan Oransky co-founder of the site Retraction Watch, a project of the Center for Scientific Integrity that keeps tabs on retractions of research articles in thousands of journals. Oransky told AFP that what has emerged so far is only the tip of the iceberg. The problem, he said, is that scientists, and supporters of science, have often been unwilling to...

I can't believe that no one sees through this plot to shoot Kavanaugh down. The accusations were carefully constructed with amorphous details to protect the author from libel. In fact Ford has already sued for immunity. To elicit sympathy Ford is portrayed as a confused and helpless victim, rather than the scheming Democrat activist she really is. This whole scenario was constructed by her lawyers to effect the maximum political impact on the female members of the electorate. I say, confirm Kavanaugh and take accusers to court.

Along the way is the town of Boonville, Mo., which was the site of a tiny battle that had a huge impact on the Civil War.
