Ed. Alan Cooperman writes: --Give a starving African a drink, he will thank you and steal whatever else you brought along. --Turn your back and he will take his machete to your neck, white colonialist. --You HAVE and everything he's been told is that's because YOU and YOUR KIND stole it from him and his tribe... And YES, Mr. Cooperman has been there and seen the over-populated, progressive wasteland which Africa has become, thanks to the self-serving munificence of the global, bleeding-heart left. Read the excerpts below from an article by Kevin Meyers which appeared in “The Irish Independent.” Hat...

Cardinal John Onaiyekan of Nigeria says that African experience proves that distributing condoms is less effective in the fight against HIV/AIDS than promoting abstinence and behavioral change. In a Crux interview, he also discussed 'Amoris Laetita,' Islam, Trump, Pope Francis, and his personal crusade against corruption. ROME – One of Africa’s most prominent Catholic prelates says he finds it hard to understand why public opinion so often focuses on condoms when it comes to the fight against HIV/AIDS, when his continent’s experience clearly shows that’s not the best approach.“Take South Africa. It’s a country that went all-out distributing condoms to...

The South African government has begun raiding various workplaces in the country in order to enforce its immigration law that states at least a majority of any given company's workers must be citizens. The news came amid a rising wave of anti-immigrant violence in the country. "We have a commitment of the hospitality sector on the need to comply with SA’s labour and immigration laws, especially the requirement to employ a minimum 60% of local people," South African Minister of Home Affairs Malusi Nkanyezi Gigaba wrote in a public letter posted to his agency's website Thursday. "This is the message...

Washington spent more than $1 billion telling people in 14 African countries not to have sex before they get married. It didn’t work Over the past 15 years the U.S. has spent $1.4 billion promoting abstinence before marriage as a way of preventing HIV in 14 countries in sub-Saharan Africa. Unfortunately, according to the most comprehensive, independent study conducted to date of the effort, the money was pretty much wasted. A rigorous comparison of national data from countries that received abstinence funding under the 2003 U.S. President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR) with those that had not showed no...

President George W. Bush, rather than President Barack Obama, will be best remembered for a legacy of having helped the African people, a Nigerian civil rights activist and attorney said on Tuesday. “President Bush will really be remembered as the president who had the most impact on Africa of the last three presidents,” said Emmanuel Obege. “I think (there’s) no doubt about it.” […] “When President Bush visited Africa he launched an initiative—a presidential emergency program for AIDS relief, which was meant to help combat a major pandemic that was taking so many lives,” Obege said. “And for many of...

A homemade sign proclaiming “AIDS, Ebola, Obama – Thanks Africa” caused a commotion in the town of Minden, Nebraska this week after a local man drew the ire of area residents when he erected it on his own property. The roadside sign was first spotted in the town of barely 3,000 on Monday this week, and it quickly created a stir on the internet as it was shared on the web first by Nebraskans, then soon the rest of the world.
