Ron Paul’s inclusive message attracting African American voters

Ron Paul’s inclusive message of peace, freedom, and prosperity may be attracting African American voters. According to this poll, Ron Paul leads his GOP opponents among black voters in general election contests.

In general election matches Paul loses among African American voters 60% to 33% against Hillary Clinton and loses 61% to 31% to Barack Obama.

In 2004 CNN exit polls show Bush receiving 11% of the African American vote in the general election against Kerry.

The averages of general election match up against either Hillary Clinton or Barack Obama are for Paul, Romney, McCain or Giuliani are, Ron Paul - 32%, Mitt Romney - 23.5%, John McCain - 20%, Rudy Giuliani - 16%.

If the polls are accurate it could mean that Ron Paul’s message that ‘Freedom unites people’ is working. Paul’s uncompromising defense of the Bill of Rights is making him a Civil Rights Leader in his own right. ("Ron Paul inspiring new Civil Rights movements")

The poll, if accurate, could also mean that Ron Paul’s message of ‘repealing the police state’ is resonating with African American voters.

Paul does appear to be a uniting political force attracting supporters at his events from all walks of life.

USA Daily does not encourage its readers to allow polls to influence their voting decisions in any way. They are too often inaccurate. This statement is not a comment on the poll in question just on polling in general. (Discuss the election on www.usadaily.net)

Of course they do.

Many black voters are liberal anti-war doves just like Ron Paul.

Only 24hrs.
OP isn’t a bad guy, not a troll, just, as our leader says, we tolerate anti-war surrender propaganda as much as we tolerate pro-abortion posts.

Um...let’s see:

-he believes the 9/11 truther BS
-he wants to return to the panic economy of the 1800s because he refuses to bring his monetary and finance ideas into the 21st century
-he acts like he needs a straightjacket everywhere he goes
-he sounds like Ross Perot on helium

ftd: Imagine actually trying to go govern according to the Constitution-what a novel idea!

A stalwart textualist (for the KJV) making such a statement? Color me "Not Surprised". LOL.

You guys ready for RonPauloween tonight? (Those kids are so creative with these RP websites! You gotta love their enthusiasm.)

And, after you chase the little candy-gobblers off your property, Ron Paul will be Jay Leno's guest on the Tonight Show.

Oopsie. Wrong date. Tomorrow is Pauloween. But you can still watch Leno if you stay up that late.

LewRockwell will be blogging the Leno appearance from the green room and blogging the big fundraiser this evening too. Well, I'm not always a big fan of Lew (while in his purist Libertarian mode) but he writes well and does a good job on covering RP on his blog section.

And, after you chase the little candy-gobblers off your property,

We give them little plastic bags with candy in it and a Chick tract.

A good opportunity to reach the children with the Gospel.

Once again for the hard of comprehending... read what I recited about Iraq and tell me this wasn’t the time to take military action.

Paul is an idiot. So is anyone who would sign on to his brain dead explanation for joining Osama Bin Laden, Nancy Pelosi, Harry Ried, John Murtha, Ted Kennedy, Cindy Sheehan et all by demanding we pull out and saying we had no business going in in the first place.

Osama Bin Laden has been discredited. He admits he made mistakes and the Iraqi people are abandoning him across the nation. Sorry, you folks just haven’t got a leg left to stand on here.

I notice that one of the former Baywatch stars, Donna D'Errico, endorsed Ron Paul on her MySpace blog.

Maybe RP can score some nice celebrity endorsements.

[I had to flag billbears here so he could join us in sternly disapproving of how often Ms. D'Errico has pranced around the beach in a bikini.]

Nice idea. Which Chick tract do you favor? You aren't spoiling their fun with that one about Halloween are you? C'mon, let the kids enjoy their candy! LOL. I would post a link to Chick's Halloween tracts but I'm thinking the mods banned Chick links here a few years back.

I hope the campaign will ask her to do a commercial. That would be great. Toss in some of these other endorsements like Baldwin or Walter Williams or Jim Rogers, the financier. That would make a really interesting commercial, a set of supporters so diverse that it would attract a lot of attention.

Chuck Baldwin, a famous Baptist preacher (independent Baptist) with a megachurch. He was also the VP nominee on the Constitution Party ticket in 2004 as I recall.

No, something with a good basic Gospel story in it, either 'the Empty Tomb' or 'The greatest Story ever told'

****Uh-huh. How is it that I’ve read article after article about how Paul leads in this demographic or that demographic, yet he can’t break 10% in national polls?*****

It could be the questions that the pollsters use to qualify their different groups.

Plus Ron Paul gets a lot of support from the young. Many of them will vote for president for the first time next year.

LOL at my stupidity. Thanks for the clarification. Walter Williams, professor at George Mason?

That would have been funny to have someone like Steven who supported W and I think Billy did too in 00/04.

I appreciate yours too. And I understand your point about national defense. And understand about opposing Paul in the primary, of the three conservatives in the race he’s my third choice.

But if by some miracle he got nominated, I’d damn sure vote for him.
