He wasn’t sure. He should be back today if he’s not busy.

Not a problem. It is important to show how his voting record doesn’t always fit in with his rhetoric.

Paul’s voting records seems best described as “small federal government”. Decisions and actions should be made by local government or private sector; and not in the central politiburo.

A true conservative says “I oppose X and favor Y”. I will impose my beliefs on my minor children. But I’ll not use the central politburo to impose my beliefs on 300 million people.

It is not conservative to say “I know what is best for everyone else and will make their decisions for them.”

Check our history. Upon entering the promised land and setting up the first state of Israel, Joshua said
“Choose you this day whom ye will serve. But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.”

Fast forward to now: A person is not a Christian by birth; nor by others deciding he is a Christian. A Christian is one who uses his free will to consciously follow Christ. Of course, many make the wrong choice. Many lie and say they are Christian when they aren’t.

It is a valuable resource. Anyone who sees a position he took that they may disagree with can go HERE and read Ron Pauls reasoning behind his vote. They will, with few or no exceptions, find that his votes are in accordance with his oath to uphold the Constitution of the U.S.

I don’t go to places like those. They have even less tolerance for my views than Free Republic! ;)

Go read the link at her blog. She isn’t the dumb blonde you seem to think she is

Now, you know you didn't go to her blog to 'read' anything!

LOL!

But the Union was never fighting for freeing the slaves either. It turned out that way but Lincoln didn't intend for it to happen.

That was true initially, but that changed over time.

Lincoln recognized this in his Second Inaugural Address.

Like being anti-war and anti-national-security is a positive?

Sometimes being anti-war is being pro-national security.

It was said by the U.S. military leaders, that the Korean War was the wrong war, at the wrong time, with the wrong enemy.

I heard from OPie and he has taken an unexpected 24-hour vacation from posting here. He sends his regards and will return shortly. He mentioned he was very warmed to see some of the strongest KJV and non-Calvinist FReepers (you two, of course) supporting Ron Paul. He likes being on the same side with you guys in an argument for once instead of facing off at forty paces in the Religion Forum. LOL.

My "vacation" turned out to be longer than expected (although my account showed that my Posting Privileges were suspended for 24 hours, I was actually unable to post for several days... perhaps someone was asleep at the switch, who knows).

At any rate, however, I am very pleasantly surprised to see myself, and FtD and Revelation911, fighting together on the same side of an issue -- other than grousing about the latest abominations of the latest New Revised International Multicultural Gender-Equalized Tolerance-Enhanced Translation of the Holy Bible, that's a pleasure I rarely enjoy!

Of course, don't look now... but Laurence M. Vance, the premier Anti-Calvinist KJV-Onlyist in America today (author of The Other Side of Calvinism and King James, His Bible, and Its Translators) and certainly one of FtD's favorites, is himself a huge fan of Ron Paul's candidacy for the Republican Nomination:

So, while I was initially unsurprised to see many Presbyterians and Calvinistic Baptist types joining our happy (and ever-growing) Great Ron Paul Ping List, I suppose I should hardly be shocked to see our Religion Forum Fundamentalists of the Arminian persuasion gathering in our corner as well.

Nice to have you gents on board. God bless you and yours.

Best, OP

Nice find on Vance. That KJV history book looks interesting. RP turns up unexpected supporters constantly. It’s kind of amazing, at least to me.

"Hell...I’d now That I think about it.....I’d rather vote for hillery."

That's the most insane and disgusting thing I have ever heard. Wow, is this really freerepublic anymore?

“That’s the most insane and disgusting thing I have ever heard. Wow, is this really freerepublic anymore?”

Well it certainly isnt as insane and disgusting as claiming a Govt conspiracy behind 9/11 as RP has stated on Alex Jone’s radio show...

The point was that I wouldnt vote for paul under ANY circumstances...

Apparently sarcasm is a second language for some people....is this even freerepublic anymore?

Hillery may be a socialist wannbe bitch.....but she isnt insane...

Paul might be a libertarian wet dream.....but he’s nutty as a squirrel turd...

in my email this afternoon

What an incredible day to be a supporter of Ron Paul!

You have raised over $2 million so far today, putting us closer to our $12 million fourth quarter goal. This is more than any Republican has ever raised online in one day!

So far in 2008, the biggest day belongs to Mitt Romney. On January 8th, he raised just over $3.1 million. Will you help us beat Mitt Romney and raise more in one day than anyone has this year?

Please ensure Ron Paul’s place in the record books with your most generous donation: https://www.ronpaul2008.com/donate. Tell your friends to donate today, too!

Yes, Vance is a Baptist/libertarian.

Don Edwards, editor of the Baptist 'Flaming Torch' has also endorsed Ron Paul.
