My son Michael

My three year old son Michael died this morning at 3 a.m. He had been experiencing high fevers for over a month and has been in the hospital again for the last few days. The doctors were unable to determine the cause of his illness and had contacted many others to review the many tests they had run on him.
Though he received very good medical care, his little heart just stopped beating and wouldn't start again. I know he is in the arms of Jesus, but I just don't understand why this has happened.
Please pray for me, my wife, and my other children. I don't know what we are going to do. We are all so upset. The doctor at the hospital gave my wife an injection of a sedative to calm her down. I'm feeling really desperate. God gave us such a beautiful boy, and now He has taken him away from us. I don't understand. Please pray for us.

When my 6-yr old granddaughter died, I was comforted with this story ... We go into the garden in the early morning dew to pick the most beautiful young rose. Sometimes God needs another "young rose" in His "garden" and picks the loveliest he can find. He chose my granddaughter, newborn great-grandson and a son who was 34 - and He chose your little boy. The hurt NEVER goes away, but we can endure it - knowing that someday we will all be together again in Heaven. God bless you, daddy. We are with you in your grief.

"God giveth, God taketh away" words that have been pondered over and over again by many a family member, or spouse. No one has yet found the answer here, but the Lord in all His wisdom on receiving that little soul into heaven makes known His reason. So rest assured his little soul is at peace and it is us, that remain that have to keep our faith strong, Michael, fought his battle courageously, it is up to us now to emulate him and show the same courage. Peace to you and your family.

My deepest sympathies. I shall devote all my prayers to you and your family this morning. May God hold you in His arms at this difficult time. May Michael rest in peace.
When you learn the cause of his illness, please post and let us all know. And please post and let us know how YOU and your wife are doing. (signed) with tears.

My eyes are filled with tears for you. I am at currently at the home of my son Shawn in S C his 17 month old son drown last summer. The pain is so deep..and so lasting, my husband was just crying in the kitchen a few minutes ago.
There are no true words of comfort for you....I know that...
My son and his wife have started to go on but their lives, and yours will never be the same. Something is missing, there is an empty spot that can never be filled by anything or anyone else.
I do not know if you are a Christian or not, but our greatest comfort has been in knowing we will see Nathan again.
This is not a punishment from God..He brought Michael home to himeself, to Him it is a homecoming
My grandson Zack wrote a poem when Nathan died..It went something like this..God looked down and saw a beautiful apple tree and one of the apples was golden so He picked it..
Your arms are empty, and your heart is torn ...but Michael rests safely in the arms of the one that made him and loves him .
May God give you peace pray for you

17 Although the fig tree shall not blossom, neither [shall] fruit [be] in the vines; the labour of the olive shall fail, and the fields shall yield no meat; the flock shall be cut off from the fold, and [there shall be] no herd in the stalls:

Oxford, I truly grieve with you over the loss of your little one. This is a time when nothing seems to make sense and no one seems able to explain. I pray that you and your wife draw close to one another for comfort and for courage. I pray with you for the little one now in God's loving arms, and I pray that reassurance of God's love throughout this entire ordeal flood your soul.

Dearest OM: Of course we will be praying for you. Your loss touches me so deeply I can't begin to express it. In 1996, our 2-year-old grandson, Michael, was murdered in Tucson just 6 days after his second birthday. I still grieve, but now he's my little saint. Please know that all of us are very touched and moved by your loss. It's always very hard to condole with one who has lost a child. May Jesus and His holy mother comfort you and your sorrowing family.

(Thanks for letting me know, Kayak)
Deep sympathy and ongoing prayers for you, Oxfordmovement, and your family. So sorry for your loss of this precious little one. Only the balm in Gilead and time can take away the pain of losing your son Michael. Even then, though, Michael will never be forgotten.
Both my grandmothers lost little children - one child lost by each grandmother. To their last days - when they were both in their 80's - they never forgot their "lost" children and would speak of them often to me. I was named for the little one lost by my grandmother on my mother's side.

Dear OxfordMovement,
My prayers go out for you, your wife and children. I'm praying that you will find comfort in your faith and that it will sustain you, and your family, in your grief.
I also pray, that the precious memories of Michael that you will be sharing with friends and loved ones in the coming days, will bring smiles to your faces and joy to your hearts.
May God bless you and your family.

My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family
Eternal rest grant unto him O Lord.
And may perpetual light shine upon him
May the souls of the faithfully departed through the mercy of God rest in peace.
Amen.
