The Neverending Story
An ongoing debate on Scripture, Tradition, History and Interpretation.

Statesmen may plan and speculate for liberty, but it is religion and morality alone which can establish the principles upon which freedom can securely stand. The only foundation of a free constitution is pure virtue. - John Adams

You can be thrown out of the country, but you will forever be born an American.

Factually incorrect? Whatever are you on about?

Without doing your usual dance will you explain to me where a born American will be sent to when he is thrown out?

I think Paul was stating a belief about the human condition in general, not merely for himself.

You know our scripture, do you think adulters, fornicators, extortioners, effeminates, abusers of themselves with mankind, thieves, covetous, drunkards, revilers, and extortioners, will be accepted by God, and given his kingdom?

"the consequences of people treating them like they have the plague"

With a disorder as profound and as damaging as this one, that is right on the money. While I could see a sincere desire for the Church to take charge of these individuals in isolation. Given the past behavior of AmChurch though, this seems no longer possible and the criminal justice system should logically put them where they can never, ever come in contact with society again.

More than just these unrepentant monsters and or sad twisted lost sinners, though, I believe there are individuals who have actively sought to recruit deviants and seed them throughout the Church. Along with warping the Liturgy and trying to sexualize Catholic School children every bit as violently as the sex-ed agenda within the puplic school system.

I read somewhere that Marxists had on their agenda very early on to plant people within the Church to discredit it from within. How better to do it than the very way that these men have been moved from Parish to Parish, maximizing the damage they could cause. Add Homosexual, Feminism and pro-choice true believers to the Atheist Marxist movement and put the "Prince of this world" at the reins and you have a clear picture of the Gramschi-ite forces tearing at the Church.

To have no faith means that the person, OK, doesn't have, like, faith. That is, that he doesn't believe in God or Jesus or nothing.

Wouldn't calling them un-believers be a lot simpler?

Since we are (for sake of his argument) saved by faith alone, not having faith is a bad thing.

Okay, not believing is a bad thing, I agree.

We can judge hwo does and who does not have faith by whether they repeat their sins.

So if a man has repeated his sin over a perioud of years, what's to stop your Church from giving him over to Satan, so God can work with them as Paul said?

Don't ever say I don't toss you a soft one every now and then. :-)

Jews aren't off the hook either though. By these standards you guys have 30 or so books of your own that have got to go.

Actually, I don't know what I'm talking about. Do you acknowledge as Scripture anything outside of the Pentatuch (sp)?

Nothing, except the lack of will to do the right thing.

So you think some of these guys are plants, or just used because of their deviancy by others with an agenda?

Chuck, what does celibacy have to do with child abuse? Are there no married men who sexually abuse children?

Wait a minute. One minute you using the Church fathers to debunk tradition, then cancelling the whole NT by the standards of Deuteronomy, and now you are using the NT to wipe out the establishments of the OT.

Very neat, there is nothing left!
Who are you, really?

Oh, so you do acknowledge the Scriptural establishment of a Priesthood? Sorry, I must have misunderstood.
