Statesmen may plan and speculate for liberty, but it is religion and morality alone which can establish the principles upon which freedom can securely stand. The only foundation of a free constitution is pure virtue. - John Adams |
Of course, you're hoping it's parked when that happens. :-)
LOL, I hadn't considered that possibility. Hey Mack, if you notice a feeling of lightness, as if you are being drawn upward, can you pull over to the side of the road before letting go of the handlebars? :o)
I think I've been told that if I'm going to be one of the 144,000, I've got to go through the tribulation first. But I may be wrong on the details.
That's one I haven't brought up. I've talked about things like OSAS, but not the rapture.
What a clever slip. Second death is described as such because the spirit is absent from God - ie in hell, not in heaven. The spirir goes on either way else "eternal" damnation wouldn't sound so bad. 1st death - the body dies. unless the body dies, resurrection would be pointless. So physical death is the 1sr death. The second death results from dying with sin in one's life - in which case one goes eternally to hell. The 1st death and 2nd death cannot be confused one for another. Though you attempt to blur the line thinking that you cleverly avoid the consequence of certain scriptures. The term for that can be one of many: deluson, foolishness, vanity, self deception... Whomever you think you're kidding, it won't float with Him who authored the message - that would be God, btw. They are His precepts after all- not ours that we may pick as we please. This is the difference again between being a Christian and being a student of philosophy - Catholic or otherwise. Hmm.. personal interpretatioin - so now you're a Robbyist, eh. (couldn't help it) Has anyone told the Pope you decided for PI, though, instead of believing what he tells you. You could just give it up and follow scripture. If you're so picked on, you might as well get the benifits.
So what are you talking about?
Depends on who defines the term. Many good heretics are no doubt sitting in heaven imagining how their short torture and burning got them their while the guys from old Rome that did it to them are suffering a slightly longer version of the same thing - uhem, eternally. It's all in the definition.
ooohh...low blow. Talk about kicking a team when it's down. :-)
Eve's title is scriptural, Mary's is anti-scriptural due to:
Gal 4:26 But Jerusalem which is above is free, which is the mother of us all.
Unless you think the church has 2 mothers, one scriptural and one Catholic.
. She is not ignored or adored. She was blessed and we respect her for what she did.
Mary certainly can't much feel at home in a Baptist Church since she is ignored except at Christmas.
Mary isn't ignored in Protestant churches. She's part of the fellowship just like all the others ... Moses, Abraham, Esther, Miriam, Ruth, Cathy, Mike, etc. She fits in with all the rest of us.
It's much easier for her now. Her course is finished ... she has borne her cross. She has rest from her labours. She is blessed to be among us and she is a blessing to us all.
She is no more ignored than anyone else in the bible with that little ink.
Yep. I was online anyway and just decided to pop in and see who spammed the most at the right time.
But the church only has one mother.
Got it.
