IS THERE POWER IN THE NAME OF JESUS?
The name of Jesus, the One Who saves His people from their sins, denotes all the power of the mighty Creator Himself. Jesus gives believers the authority to serve, work, and pray in His Name when we do so believing in Jesus’ saving power and desiring God’s Will. Jesus, with the authority of the Father, exercised power to save sinners, and His Name is the only Name we can call on for Salvation (Acts 4:12). As adopted sons and daughters into God’s family, Christians experience God’s saving grace through faith in the Person of Jesus. When we call on Him, we participate in His power and find that “the Name of the LORD is a fortified tower; the righteous run to it and are safe” (Proverbs 18:10). Heavenly Father, It is almost the end of September with the election having already begun with early voting.
We are the nation You birthed for evangelism to the world and now here we are embedded in worldly, blatantly evil living, corruption in government/politics as well as distrust and distress in not only government but in families, churches and the workplace.
Heavenly Father, We acknowledge that we are a country in need of The Only Savior of the World, Your Son Jesus. We need candidates that will stand for righteousness. . .not those who give lip service and sound bites to tickle the ears of Christian voters but a those who have a true relationship with You God the Father, God the Son (Jesus) and God the Holy Spirit. . . a relationship that can only come by true repentance and believing that Jesus died a horrific death on the cross so that those who believe will have everlasting life in heaven. There is Resurrection Power in the Name of Jesus. This world is not our home . . . our main focus should be on You to supply all of our needs which includes the selection our country’s leaders.
Unless the voters seek Your Face, Your Wisdom and candidates that openly express the need for a moral compass in our country. . . all is for naught at the voting booth.
Please open the minds and hearts of Your People. Place opportunities in the lives of unbelievers to really understand the meaning of righteousness, truth and justice.
Holy Spirit, please direct and guide Your servants to witness for Your Kingdom and Glory. We do not know the time of Jesus’ return or when our last breath will be taken from us . . .but we should share the urgency of believing on the Lord Jesus Christ . . . Today is the Day of Salvation.
To not seek Your Will and direction is to give satan the power to do his evil bidding for Election 2024 . . . . . We have The Power in the Name of Jesus because. . . Your Plan is the perfect plan for our nation. “Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a reproach to any people.” (Proverbs 14:34)
