I believe this is at least partially right but it’s the entire wicked system. Homosexuality is just one example of rejecting God; think of baby killing as another.
Sodom and gommorah was overrun by wickedness and they were in control; hence the appeasing Lot did to try to get them off their backs. But that was not the only evil they were perpetrating.

No, the mark of the beast is not here yet. But as technology advances, the implementation will be easier than ever before.
The mark of the beast will happen during the tribulation. The tribulation starts with a 7 year “peace and security” deal for Israel. Watch for that first, then all the other things will start happening, including the mark of the beast.

The mark of the beast is some kind of seal that followers of the Antichrist will take in allegiance to him. The prophecy of Revelation 13:16–17 says that the second beast, the false prophet, “forced all people, great and small, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on their right hands or on their foreheads, so that they could not buy or sell unless they had the mark, which is the name of the beast or the number of its name.”

And one other thing, by the time for the mark of the beast we will be under a one world government, ruled by a “king” of the world. He is known as the antichrist, his false profit is his “second” in command. These two, work for satan.
When we get to this point, they will have total control over the entire world, they will be able to implement any system, including economic, political and religion however they want. A mark will show loyalty to satan. If you take the mark, there will be no, absolutely none, changing of your mind. When the time comes, you will be sent to the lake of fire (hell) for eternity.

The above is troubling. We may think we are safe because we didn’t worship the beast.
But just going along with it in thinking and doing.......
there is that little word “or”.
Real ID is the closest thing to that that now, and a few keyboard strokes, and the criminalization of the possession of cash makes presentation of Real ID mandatory for every interaction made.

You would have to show Real ID to tithe or donate to the church of your choice, and the computer might not approve the transfer.

This sounds pretty cut and dried. You will be mandated to worship or accept this mark. As time goes on, it may become very clear. I don't think a CC or QR code will cut it.
I did not necessarily take everything in the Bible literally, but this I take literally. Besides, they have been experimenting with chip implants for years now.

The endtime is all about the true Christ, who died for the sins of the world, our Savior, and the false Christ.
Jesus the true Christ, in contradistinction to the false Christ, the central figure of the endtime. Everybody on earth will be forced to make the hard choice between the true or the false Christ.
If you do not choose the false Christ, the “antichrist,” you will be not be allowed to be partake of his one world government.
You will be forced to take an identifying mark that will not allow you to buy or sell, or partake of his economic digital system. You must have the digital identification of his name, i.e., the digital number of his name. Probably in the Hebrew language, as his capital city will be Jerusalem, will total 666.
Amazing how the book of Revelation, almost a two thousand year old document - they hardly knew of such modern technology, only God knows the future - could prophesy so accurately the things of our times.
Yet, so many don’t believe in God?

I think its the whole concept of transhumanism.
Pethaps in 2-3 generations from now it will become
a normalized procedure that happens at birth.
After all, transhumanism styles itself as the “great god” in humans stating man does not need God; that a transhuman is greater than God .
