Christianity made absolutely no progress as a political force under the Republican Party. That may be your opinion, but at least the Republican Party helped it hold it’s ground the last 40 years under constant assault. And it is making a minor comeback, with the moves of conservative Republican governors like DeSantis in Florida, and Landry in Louisiana.
This phony new platform seeks to rip the rug out from under all that momentum, all in the name of a single election, if not person, who was a lifelong Democrat.

Christians shouldn’t be mixing politics with religion... They’re not the same thing and they should be dealt with separately.

The Republican Party has spent my entire adult life proving that it is fully vested in fiscal irresponsibility. Ridiculous. Some of them had their hand in the cookie jar but the Republican Party has historically stood for smaller government and spending. You’re seemingly excited that principle is being undermined now by a big spending liberal New Yorker who’s wrestled control of everything, and are just trying to muddy the water by re-writing history here today. Grade if I was your teacher: F

If a woman showed post-partum psychosis and threatened to harm her baby, one could take the baby out of harm’s way. How does one protect a baby in utero if the baby’s mother is dead set on destroying the baby? It’s a conundrum.

Caving on abortion?! What kind of moron doesn’t recognize the biggest pro life gains since roe v w were under TRUMP? Stupid This is true. It is also true that most conservatives don't believe a thing the RNC shovels.

These issues can easily be put back on the platform as the party becomes more conservative.

Morality and politics have nothing to do with each other.
Politics is the most amoral/immoral human endeavor there is.

These issues can easily be put back on the platform as the party becomes more conservative. That’s the whole point, they are literally ripping most every conservative principle from the party platform, and it will be next to impossible to ever get them added back in. This is clearly a hijacking of the party, that’s probably being aided by leftists if we knew the whole truth.

Completely removing the national debt from the new platform, which is in my opinion the biggest threat facing the US, is completely inexplicable, and inexcusable as well. Since when does any party actually implement their platforms after the election is over?

I have no idea what “momentum” you’re talking about. I look around and see unmistakable signs of Christianity in decline. And it’s not due to any religious persecution by diabolical pagans, either. They have just flat-out lost their faith.
And forget about Trump as a political candidate. What was the point of having the GOP maintain a pro-life plank in its national platform while it was pushing a radical pro-abortion @sshole like Mitt Romney as a presidential candidate? And when did a Republican Congress ever pass a spending bill that cut funding for Planned Parenthood to $0?

(Full Disclosure: I cannot speak for the Republican Party or even as a “Republican,” I consider myself a Conservative Populist for lack of any better description. I vote Republican because there is no other viable better option for me.)
To quote the old aphorism: “The perfect should never become the enemy of the good.”
We will never have perfection in this world. If you reject those who are doing their best to save babies’ lives because they do not meet your own unattainable standards, you will soon lose those same allies and even more babies will die. To me, that is the heart of the matter.

If they don’t support the GOP, they are supporting the Dmes, whether they vote Dem, Don’t vote, or vote 3rd party.

Sure, stay home and we have the corpse again. One issue voters are not good for the country. The substantial issues now are border, economy and law and order.

The Republican Party has become a lost cause, and it is time we faced that reality.
Well, are we going to trust God or the Republican Party?
Are we going to be involved in this local and state or cry in our beer.
God gave us a short sword, not voting ballots.

This says more about the American people than it does the Republican Party. The average American is too far gone to even think about ending abortion on demand .
