[Catholic Caucus] URGENT - Growing Rumors of a “Final Solution” for the Traditional Latin Mass - TLM

("Unconditional Tradition": parade against restrictions to the TLM,
in Quimper, Brittany, France, on Sunday, June 16, 2024)

Dear readers,

Once again, as at least twice in the past (before the crackdown on the Franciscans of the Immaculate, and in the twelve months leading up to Traditionis Custodes), Rorate Caeli is sad to be the first bearer of grave, heavy, and persistent rumors coming from the circles close to Cardinal Roche and to the liturgical warriors close to Casa Santa Marta in Rome.

An attempt is being made to implement, as soon as possible, a Vatican document with a stringent, radical, and final solution banning the Traditional Latin Mass. The same ideologues who imposed Traditionis Custodes and its implementation, and who are still frustrated with its apparently slow results, especially in the United States and France, want to ban it and shut it down everywhere and immediately. They want to do it while Francis is still in power. They want to make it as wide, final, and irreversible as possible.

These rumors come from the most credible sources,* in different continents, and we urge you to take them as seriously as possible, and do what you can in your station, as laity, priests, bishops, cardinals, religious men and women, to prevent the ban from becoming a concrete measure.

Can we stop it from happening? Yes, we can: by prayer, sacrifice, penance -- and influence and pressure, of whatever sort we can manage to put forward. The enemy is strong, but Our Lord and Our Lady are mightier.

When we have further information that can be made public, we will let you know.

____

*Note: What we can say is that these rumors come from the very same sources that revealed to Rorate that the Vatican had sent out a survey to bishops on Summorum Pontificum (in preparation for what would become Traditionis Custodes), and Rorate was the first source to post this; and the very same sources who first revealed that a document like Traditionis Custodes would come (and Rorate was also the first to reveal it at the time). With the addition of other credible sources who have now mentioned the same present rumors and whom Rorate was not acquainted with at the time of Traditionis custodes, and who now corroborate the persistent rumors.

Makes sense and we’ve all been on the edge of our kneelers for the last two years.

Let the games begin. [pun intended,’cause we all know what has to happen].

I absolutely have no idea why there is this animus against the TLM.

I have heard terrible stories about what the PTB did to priests who did not want to switch, and the PTB are still at it!

I absolutely have no idea why there is this animus against the TLM.

1) The text of the 1962 Roman Missal more completely elucidates specifically Catholic doctrine than does the more recent missal. This is particularly true with respect to the sacrificial aspect of the Mass, and with respect to the Real Presence of Christ in the Eucharist.

2) Many people in positions of power and authority within the Church bureaucratic structure appear to oppose Catholic doctrine, particularly with respect to the sacrificial aspect of the Mass and to the Real Presence of Christ in the Eucharist.

3) Preference for the 1962 Missal among the clergy AND laity is strongly correlated with belief in and acceptance of other pieces of Catholic doctrine, particularly with respect to sexual morality.

4) Many people in positions of power and authority within the Church bureaucratic structure appear to be sodomites.

It is quite obvious to me that the traditional Latin mass drives demonic purveyors angry and insane because it celebrates the Triune God and not Satan.

We have 6 seminarian in our diocese and 4 of them come from my TLM church and 1 more from another TLM church. I think the bishop will think twice before shutting down the TLM in our diocese. Tradition is where the heart is in these younger men.

What do you think is responsible for the strange dichotomy in Pope Francis? Bending over backwards to please James Martin and the Lavender Lobby inside the Vatican and yet twice recently complaining of the air of “faggotry” inside the Vatican. I think in a way he has gotten to the point Benedict got to at the end of his papacy, realizing that the homosexual cabal is too strong in the Church.

Thank you both. I guess it is difficult for me to comprehend that level of evil being spread throughout the Church, but there are the scandals as well, which is also evil spread throughout the Church.

I think he has always spoken out of both sides of his mouth ... early in his time sitting in Peter's Chair, many folks (self included) tried to give him every possible benefit of the doubt and interpret his often confusing comments in light of orthodox Catholic faith. He has made this impossible for me to continue doing.

We believe that "papal infallibility" is a particular charism, a gift of the Holy Spirit, that prevents a pope from formally proclaiming heresy. I suggest as a possible explanation, that perhaps there is a sort of internal struggle between what he wants to do, and what Holy Spirit is preventing him from doing.

Rorate Caeli’s sources have been impeccable and dead-on accurate about this pontificate, so this is extremely worrisome. It’s also somewhat shocking because when you try something and it flops, it takes a special kind of hubris to triple down. “Traditiones custodes” has succeeded, I guess, in shutting down a handful of TLMs in places where the local bishop was already hostile. But when you see things like the Chartres pilgrimage where 20,000 people show up for TLM, and when Harrison Butker gives a speech in which he extolls the virtues of the TLM and gets 2.2 million views, how do a few SOBs in the Vatican possibly think they can wave just their magic wands and make all this go away?

You are correct. Here was Rorate Caeli's take on the day of Bergoglio's "election", back on March 13, 2013:

The Horror! A Buenos Aires journalist describes Bergoglio

Excerpt:

A sworn enemy of the Traditional Mass, he has only allowed imitations of it in the hands of declared enemies of the ancient liturgy. He has persecuted every single priest who made an effort to wear a cassock, preach with firmness, or that was simply interested in Summorum Pontificum.

Famous for his inconsistency (at times, for the unintelligibility of his addresses and homilies), accustomed to the use of coarse, demagogical, and ambiguous expressions, it cannot be said that his magisterium is heterodox, but rather non-existent for how confusing it is.
