I’m still a United Methodist, but my church has gone blue. Many of my conservative friends are in the Calvary Chapel, and I may eventually move there, even though I hate their “praise” music and disagree with them on some theological issues.

Agreed. If not sooner. IMHO, it's uncomfortable, but a necessary house cleaning that we're seeing with churches that had adopted the leftist cult teachings. They've all either hemorrhaged membership, and/or kicked out the leftist leaders, and/or local churches have left the larger denomination.

We could be living in the early stages of the next great awakening. If you look at prior great awakenings, they tend to start off in situations like our current one, where good minded Christians take on a "We've had enough!" mindset of worldly people having their way in church and politics.

I left the meth and now attend Church in a former pizza shop.
I have only attended 18 months and have already witnessed a miracle in this little congregation.
40 years in the UMC and I never witnessed one in that big old Church.

Most of them around me in conservative Texas are dying on the vine. Notably, I remember one UMC in my neighborhood putting up a notice on their marquee sign of their last service, the day that the same-sex Obergefell decision was released, ironically.

You may want to consider the Church established and led by Jesus and the Holy Spirit for our salvation with the Sacraments. We are not perfect and we are sinners on the path to becoming holy, the Church as the Body of Christ that has the fullness of God’s revealed Truths.

We have the sacrament of the Eucharist with the Real Presence of Christ Body and Blood so that Jesus can “abides in me and I in him.” John 6: 56

Many of the churches established by man may provide some understanding of God’s Truth, but often follows the worldly beliefs that Jesus advised us not to follow. John 15:18

The day after the UMC voted to go gay last summer, the methodist church next to my house was painting over the United part of their sign. It took several months, but they finally got a new sign. It made me laugh everytime I saw that sign with a big black patch over the united part. I have nothing to do with methodist, but are so proud of them. I LOVE my town. Every candidate, even for dof catcher puts pro gun, pro life, pro trump in their candidate brochures as if being pro Trump has anything to do with fixing the roads, but I love the sentiment
