FATHER GOD,

For sin is the sting that results in death, and the law gives sin its power. But thank GOD! He gives us victory over sin and death through our LORD JESUS CHRIST (1 Corinthians 15:56-57).

As we prepare to celebrate Easter Sunday, may we take time to contemplate JESUS’ victory over sin and death on the cross and what it means to us.

JESUS said, “This is My commandment: Love each other in the same way I have loved you. There is no greater love than to lay down one’s life for one’s friends. You are My friends if you do what I command. (John 15:12-15)

FATHER GOD, help us to do what JESUS CHRIST commanded:

“If any of you wants to be My follower, you must give up your own way, take up your cross daily, and follow Me. (Luke 9:23).

Since CHRIST suffered physical pain, help us arm ourselves with the same attitude He had, and be ready to suffer, too. For if we have suffered physically for CHRIST, we have finished with sin. We won’t spend the rest of our lives chasing our own desires, but we will be anxious to do Your Will.

Help us to continue to show deep love for each other, for love covers a multitude of sins.

The end of the world is coming soon. Therefore, help us be earnest and disciplined in our prayers.

And GOD, may HOLY SPIRIT empower us to develop the spiritual gifts You have given each of us. Teach us to use them well to serve one another. Then everything we do will bring glory to You through JESUS CHRIST. All glory and power to You forever and ever! (1 Peter 4:1-11)

May Easter Sunday be filled with rejoicing and joy for CHRIST’S Victory! May we rededicate ourselves to live our lives as Your chosen people – royal priests, a holy nation, Your very own possession. May we show others Your goodness, GOD, for You called us out of the darkness into Your wonderful light. (1 Peter 2:9)

Thank You for sending Your Son, JESUS CHRIST to die for our sins. Thank You for His victory on Resurrection Sunday. May we never forget the glory that You brought forth that day!

In JESUS’ Name we pray. AMEN.
