Join with fellow FREEPERS to pray for AMERICA: For those in Authority in Government, Family, Military, Business, Healthcare, Education, Churches, and the Media.
This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. (1 John 5:14)

Dear Holy Father, your patience, grace and mercy are astounding in this time of the end. We deserve none, yet here we are today. By all means we deserve the full force of your righteous wrath and anger for our horrendous sins. Our country and world is so corrupt today, far beyond anything seen in Sodom and Gomorrah as we can literally see the technology of antichrist rising. The spirit of America is one of betrayal, swept up in unrighteousness. It’s becoming a crime to speak of You publically and proclaim your Truth. Our prideful society worships man and sin. We are standing at the edge of the abyss. Fools are leading this nation and others around the world through deceit and fear. It looks like America and others have been given over to reprobates in rebellion against you as we continue to shed innocent blood through multiple abominations.
This hurts us deeply, as we think of futures of our children and loved ones, and how much more betrayal and rebellion must hurt you. We know your wish is that none perish. We are deeply sorry for our part in this Lord, and are so repentant and thankful for the forgiveness through our Lord Jesus.
Yes, we are now facing the consequences of deserved judgment. However, we are thankful that you take that which was meant for evil and turn it for your good and glory. These perilous times make it necessary for us to constantly focus on and trust in You, You alone, even while we swim in a sea of distractions. Thank you for being there Lord Jesus, to take our hands and pull us up out of the waves to you. Thank you for your protection and for always being there with us. Thank you for your spiritual armor.
Lord we ask you to provide many opportunities to tell your Good News daily. Grant us the means to gather a fruitful harvest unto You, like in your parable of the sower. Pour your Holy Spirit out over our lands and ignite a great revival for the billions who hunger and thirst for your freedom and justice. Grant us the courage to stand on your Word which is True. We pray for those who are lost and seeking that you send them our way. We pray they quickly ask you to come into their hearts. Young, old, rich, poor, related or not, no matter where they live, may the lost repent and turn from their wicked ways.
Remind us Lord to keep a watchful eye for your return, always ready with our lamps filled and wicks trimmed. Thank you for never leaving us or forsaking us. When the time comes, may we rush directly into your presence. Thank you for your Holy Spirit, may He shine brightly in us and keep us salty. We ask all these things in the Name of our Savior, Lord Jesus Christ.
QUESTION: What does it mean to suppress the truth in unrighteousness (Romans 1:18)?
ANSWER: In the epistle to the Romans, we see the universal need for righteousness (Romans 1:1—3:20), God’s provision of righteousness (Romans 3:21—4:25), the practical implications of righteousness for a person’s life (Romans 5—8), an illustration of how God is working with Israel for their righteousness (Romans 9—11), and God’s expectation for those who are righteous (Romans 12—16). As he begins to develop his argument that all humanity needs God’s righteousness, Paul says, “For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness” (Romans 1:18, NKJV).
Paul asserts the centrality and value of the gospel, the good news about how God can make people righteous and save them through belief in Him (Romans 1:16–17). In the verses that follow, Paul shows that all people need this gospel and God’s righteousness, because all are unrighteous. He explains that God’s wrath is revealed against all ungodliness and unrighteousness. One of the expressions of that universal guilt is that there are those who suppress the truth in unrighteousness (Romans 1:18).
There are three aspects about God evident to everyone through what God has made: His invisible attributes, His eternal power, and His divine nature (Romans 1:19–20). Because He has allowed Himself to be known in those ways, no one has an excuse for their unrighteousness. All are accountable to Him as their Creator.
Even though everyone has an awareness of God, those who suppress the truth in unrighteousness refuse to acknowledge God or give Him thanks. They know the truth about God, but they actively suppress it. These are the ones described in John 3:20: “Everyone who does evil hates the light, and will not come into the light for fear that their deeds will be exposed.” They engage in futile speculations, and their hearts are darkened (Romans 1:21). They become fools who worship the creation rather than the Creator (Romans 1:22), they dishonor their bodies (Romans 1:23–27), their minds are depraved (Romans 1:28), and they engage in all kinds of evil behavior (Romans 1:29–32).
This progression for those who suppress the truth in unrighteousness shows that God is justified in judging the unrighteous. He has the right to judge. All have fallen short of His holy standard (Romans 3:23), and the wages that all have earned is death (Romans 6:23). Whether or not all suppress the truth in unrighteousness to the same extent, all are guilty. As James explains elsewhere, if a person is guilty of breaking one of God’s commands, he is guilty of all and deserving of judgment (James 2:10).
Thankfully, Paul doesn’t stop at affirming the guilt of those who suppress the truth in unrighteousness. When Paul explains the extent of sin and unrighteousness as universal, he adds some hopeful and critical information.
All have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God, and all can be justified (or declared righteous) by God by believing in Jesus (Romans 3:23–24). All have earned the wages of sin, which is death, but all can also receive the free gift of God, which is eternal life (Romans 6:23). The death Paul is talking about is more than just physical death—it is also separation from God. When Adam first sinned, he was separated from God and was afraid (Genesis 3:10). God had told Adam that if he sinned he would die (Genesis 2:17). After Adam sinned and was already dealing with that consequence, God further explained that Adam would have another consequence that would include gradual yet certain physical death (Genesis 3:19).
Because all of us are born from Adam, we are all sinful in our natures (Romans 5:12, 15) and we often are those who suppress the truth in unrighteousness. But Jesus died to pay the price we could never finish paying. When we believe in Him, we are given the righteousness of Christ and redeemed from judgment and death (Romans 3:24–28). Paul explains elsewhere that we are saved by God’s grace through belief (Ephesians 2:8). This salvation is a gift of God and not something we can earn ourselves. Instead of being those who suppress the truth in unrighteousness and descending into darkness, we are given new life. We are His workmanship now in Christ Jesus. We proclaim the truth and are designed to do good rather than evil things (Ephesians 2:10). By God’s grace and through our faith in Him, God fixed our unrighteousness problem.

It struck so profoundly it calls for repeating here:
“Jesus, let us stand together as Your faithful men, dedicated peace makers and keepers, blessed by, led by, and highly favored by God the Father and Spirit. Hungering and thirsting for the righteousness of Your Name. Make of us a godly bulwark, standing fast before our families, our places, our Nation, ever defying this evil that has finally overtaken our land, and these depraved souls who only You allow lately—for Your Good Reasons—to lord it over us. To You and Your Authority, we gladly and meekly submit ourselves, asking for your Mercy over our families and our lives, which we again pledge to You, Father, in all honor and loyalty to Your Son.”

“Now we are hearing famous transhumanists like the WEF’s own Yuval Noah Harari proclaiming that AI will give us the first religious texts not written by humans. Just this week, a Lutheran church in Germany held the first service where the sermon had been entirely written by AI and was facilitated by a chatbot avatar that led the service from a large monitor that stood in place from where the preacher would normally deliver his message.
AI will soon be offering humanity extremely advanced and deceptive philosophy and could very well be the source of this false religion that the Bible tells us will take the world by storm. Its incredible potential to mimic and create deep fakes, like the recent video that appeared to depict Russian President Vladimir Putin declaring martial law on state television, causing a panic on many who believed it to be genuine, and its uncanny ability to produce increasingly convincing holograms of stars long since deceased may very well be how the image of the beast is given “breath” or life. Rev 13:15 It will undoubtedly play a role in the monitoring of every person on the globe, both small and great, rich and poor, free and slave.
Still not convinced? Let’s see what the apostle Paul had to say about these days.
“But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God,” (II Timothy 3:1-4).
Sound eerily familiar? Give yourself just 5 minutes on your choice of TikTok, Facebook, Instagram, or YouTube, and see if Paul’s description isn’t spot on when compared to our day. We live in a day when prominent companies are tripping over themselves to be next in line to lose billions of dollars just to align with woke ideologies, where drag queens dressed as nuns are the new elementary school teacher or worse, Sunday school teacher, and where pornographic material has replaced coloring books. Noah and Lot would feel right at home in these days. If this doesn’t qualify as perilous times, then you, too, have a conscience that has been seared as with a hot iron!”
Amen.
Thank you for your diligent research and Scripture presentation. It is really well done. :-)
There’s a lot of angry people who still hold out hope for 2024 and their “best life now”. God has something billions of times better than anything we could ever imagine, but they can’t envision it or reconcile it.
We’ve got massive evil around us and on the horizon. These are perilous times indeed, but like a frog in a pot of slowly boiling water - most folks don’t see or sense it.
It’s called normalcy bias.
Thank You, FATHER GOD, for allowing us to be born for such a time as this. Give us courage and strength to stand firm in the faith for what we believe, so we can be reflections of Your love. In JESUS' Name we pray. AMEN.
Amen!
to that edifying prayer, ViLaLuz, and your very clear presentation of Paul’s reasoning on why the darkened fail to heed, but so desperately need, the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Still there is Hope that, ‘...with God, all things are possible.’ Thank You Lord Jesus.
Normalcy bias. Yes, I never thought of that but you’re right.
More on scoffers here:
QUESTION: What is spiritual blindness?
ANSWER: To be spiritually blind is not to see Christ, and not to see Christ is not to see God (Colossians 1:15-16; 2 Corinthians 4:6). Spiritual blindness is a grievous condition experienced by those who do not believe in God, Jesus Christ, and His Word (Romans 2:8; 2 Thessalonians 2:12). Those who reject Christ are the lost (John 6:68-69). Being spiritually blind, they are perishing (2 Corinthians 4:3-4; Revelation 3:17). They choose not to accept the teachings of Christ and His authority in their lives (Matthew 28:18). They are blind to the manifestations of God as revealed throughout His Word and Jesus Christ (John 1:1; Acts 28:26-27). They are described as those who “do not accept the things of the Spirit of God, for they are folly to him, and he is not able to understand them because they are spiritually discerned” (1 Corinthians 2:14).
Peter spoke of such people as “scoffers [who] will come in the last days with scoffing, following their own sinful desires” (2 Peter 3:3; see also Proverbs 21:24; Jude 1:18). Those who reject Christ and His Word are spiritually blind and cannot understand the truth of the Scriptures. The truth sounds foolish to them (Isaiah 37:23; 1 Corinthians 1:18). The Bible describes those denying God as fools (Psalm 14:1; Matthew 7:26). Because of their blindness and rejection of God and His Word, they are in a perilous, unsaved condition (John 12:48; Hebrews 2:2-4).
The spiritually blind are simply unable to understand God’s Word (Matthew 13:13; Deuteronomy 29:4). Jesus said, “If you love Me, you will keep My commandments. And I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Helper, to be with you forever, even the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him. You know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you” (John 14:15-17). Paul echoed this when he told the believers in Rome, “Those who are in the flesh cannot please God. You, however, are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if in fact the Spirit of God dwells in you. Anyone who does not have the Spirit of Christ does not belong to Him” (Romans 8:8-9). Those outside of Christ are not of God because their lives are steeped in the things of the world with all its passions, their eyes blind to the Spirit of God. The Apostle John said, “If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him” but that person’s love “is from the world” (1 John 2:15-16).
The cause of spiritual blindness is made quite clear in the Scriptures: “In their case the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelievers, to keep them from seeing the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God” (2 Corinthians 4:4). Paul refers to Satan as the “god of this world.” Extraordinarily evil (John 8:44), Satan destroys the flesh (1 Corinthians 5:5), masquerades as an angel of light (2 Corinthians 11:14), and is the cause of all temptations (Luke 4:2; Hebrews 4:15; 1 Corinthians 7:5). He revels in scheming against and trapping the unbelievers (2 Corinthians 2:11; Ephesians 6:11; 2 Timothy 2:26). Satan’s goal is to devour the weak who fall prey to temptation, fear, loneliness, worry, depression, and persecution (1 Peter 5:8-9).
Without God and left to ourselves, we easily succumb to the devil’s schemes. We can become so mired in the affairs of this world and its moral darkness that, in the end, God turns us over to spiritual blindness and eternal condemnation (John 12:40; Romans 1:24-32).
As believers, we have the Spirit of God reigning in our lives to ward off the debilitating effects of Satan’s power and the world’s influence (1 John 4:13). John tells us, “Whoever confesses that Jesus is the Son of God, God abides in Him, and he in God” (1 John 4:15). Satan wars within and without us. His weapons are deceitful and crafty schemes to make us doubt and stumble (2 Corinthians 2:11; Ephesians 4:14). Yet God has provided us with powerful weapons to ward off his flaming arrows (Ephesians 6:10-18). As believers we can overcome the evil one and remain in the Light and never become spiritually blind. For, in truth, Jesus has given us His wonderful promise: “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows Me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life” (John 8:12).

For National Repentance, Deliverance and Truth
Dear Lord and Heavenly King, thank You that there are no boundaries in Your kingdom and that You ultimately rule over heaven and earth, despite the fact that wickedness and evil seeks to dominate the nations of the world as well the lives of individuals.
I pray that You would set up godly men and women in positions of leadership and power in our own nation and in all the nations who exercise authority in our world today.
Thank You for those leaders that are prepared to stand up for truth and righteousness. Give them boldness to challenge those who want to to remove the principles of freedom and tolerance and establish the flawed principles that come from human wisdom.
Lord, I pray that You would guide the leaders of many nations to repent of their sins and turn to the path of peace that only comes from You. Help them to understand that the only peace that will ever be established on earth will be under the rule of the Lord Jesus Christ Himself, after Your wrath has been poured out on a Christ rejecting sinful world. Have mercy Lord. Have mercy on all the leaders of nations who do not know You. I pray that many will be saved by faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, in Whose name I pray.
Amen.

Prayer For Godly Courage
Thank You, Lord, for the mystery of, “Christ in you the hope of glory”. Thank You also, for the wonderful examples of men and women of faith, who have been given godly courage to carry out the duties that You called them to do.
Lord, I pray that in the power of the Holy Spirit, You would develop in me a godly wisdom and courage to live my Christian life as light in a darkened world, whatever the cost.
Father, You have called us to reflect Your light and to tell of Your healing power. May I be enabled by Your Holy Spirit to speak out Your Word of truth, in grace and love. May I become a mirror that reflects You so completely in all I say and do, that Christ may be seen in me, to Your praise and glory. In Jesus’ name,
Amen.

Prayer For Those Blinded By Satan
Thank You, Lord, that Your death paid the price for all my sins and that by Your death and resurrection You have broken the power of Satan, sin and death and there is nothing in heaven or earth or under the earth that is able to separate us from the love God, which is in Christ Jesus. Thank You, Lord, that there is no principality nor power which can nullify the almighty power of our almighty God, for greater is He that is indwelling us than he that is in the world.
Father, we pray for those that today are being blinded by Satan, who is the god of this world, and who seeks to hide the truth of the glorious gospel of grace from all those that are dead in their sins and perishing in a pit of unbelief. Open their eyes we pray. Open the minds of all those that have been deceived by the lies and deceit of the evil one and break the chains that are enslaving them we pray. And Lord, we also pray that they may be guided into a saving faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, Who died for each one, so that they might be freed from this satanic entrapment.
Father, we know that the battle for the hearts and minds of humanity is the war that Satan is seeking to win. But Lord, we pray that You would open the eyes of those that are blinded by the lies and deceit of this world, to see Jesus. Shine the light of the glorious gospel into their enslaved hearts we pray, so that men and women may wake up from their slumbers and recognize the truth of the gospel, that Christ died to pay the price for their sins and rose to break the power of death in their lives, so that all who believe would not perish but have everlasting life. This we ask in the precious name of Jesus,
Amen.
