In a recent survey of born-again Christians, less than half claimed to believe that Jesus lived a sinless life while on Earth, or that human life is sacred.

The American Worldview Inventory (AWVI) 2023— a national representative survey of 2,000 adults, including 650 born-again Christians, was conducted in January by the Cultural Research Center at Arizona Christian University.

You know the reason this was important to her was this is the ideal that her family had about born again, when you’re born again you’re born sinless like Jesus during the resurrection, that’s what they meant by born again maybe this is just a Kentucky thing with the churches there I don’t know

Don’t want to be born again if it means believing the blasphemy that Jesus was a sinner.

“are you having trouble reading comprehending”

I’m having trouble comprehending your sentence. The title of this post is “Survey Finds Less Than Half of Professing ‘Born-Again Christians’ Believe Jesus Was Sinless”. The majority of Born-Agains in this survey believe Jesus was a sinner. Nonsense. Blasphemy.

There’s a difference between sinless and without committing a sin

The problem with all surveys, depending on how the survey is asked and the person reading it quickly they may answer it incorrectly, it’s a finer point to understand the difference

I find most of these academics that are conducting these surveys don’t know how to survey Christians so that they were getting precise answers to their questions

The first line of the article reads: “In a recent survey of born-again Christians, less than half claimed to believe that Jesus lived a sinless life while on Earth”.

How can you interpret this in any other way than that in this survey a majority of Born-Again Christians believe Jesus committed actual sins? Blasphemous nonsense. You can say that they may have read the survey too quickly and didn’t know what they were saying but the last part of that sentence in which they also don’t believe life is sacred reveals the truth. Among Born-Agains, Catholics, and all Christian denominations, there is some utterly unnatural, blasphemous worldly nonsense between their ears. They have wandered off into fables as Scripture predicts towards the end of the world.

I can’t find the verse but there was one that I thought made it clear that the second birth does not occur until after death.

No, you will never find the verse that makes it clear that the second birth does not occur until after death. Instead, the second birth is that of being born anew, which is required to enter (eiserchomai) the kingdom of God:

Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. (John 3:5)

And which true believers have been transferred into:

Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated [methistēmi] us into the kingdom of his dear Son: (Colossians 1:13)
Which is due to penitent, effectual; heart-purifying, regenerating faith: (Acts 10:43-47; 15:7-9)
To him give all the prophets witness, that through his name whosoever believeth in him shall receive remission of sins. While Peter yet spake these words, the Holy Ghost fell on all them which heard the word. And they of the circumcision which believed were astonished, as many as came with Peter, because that on the Gentiles also was poured out the gift of the Holy Ghost. For they heard them speak with tongues, and magnify God. Then answered Peter, Can any man forbid water, that these should not be baptized, which have received the Holy Ghost as well as we? (Acts 10:43-47)
And when there had been much disputing, Peter rose up, and said unto them, Men and brethren, ye know how that a good while ago God made choice among us, that the Gentiles by my mouth should hear the word of the gospel, and believe. And God, which knoweth the hearts, bare them witness, giving them the Holy Ghost, even as he did unto us; And put no difference between us and them, purifying their hearts by faith. (Acts 15:7-9)
In whom ye also, heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom ye also having believed, were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise, (Ephesians 1:13)
Of his own will begat he us with the word of truth, that we should be a kind of firstfruits of his creatures. (James 1:18)
Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost; (Titus 3:5)
But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us, Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;) And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus: (Ephesians 2:4-6)

Which penitent, effectual; heart-purifying, regenerating faith is what is is imputed for righteousness, (Romans 4:5) and is shown in baptism and following the Lord, (Acts 2:38-47; Jn. 10:27, 28) who was sent by the Father to be the savior of the world. (1 John 4:14) And by which faith the redeemed soul is "accepted in the Beloved" and positionally seated with Him in Heaven, on His account, glory to God. (Ephesians 1:6; 2:6; cf. Phil. 3:21) And those who die in that obedient faith will go to be forever with Him at death or His return (Phil 1:23; 2Cor. 5:8 [“we”]; Heb, 12:22,23; 1Cor. 15:51ff'; 1Thess. 4:17) In contrast to those who were never born of the Spirit or who terminally fall away. (Gal. 5:1-4; Heb. 3:12; 10:25-39)

...if the doctrine of Christ’s sinless nature is denied then by definition you’re not Christian.

Really?

John 6:25-40

25 When they found him on the other side of the lake, they asked him, “Rabbi, when did you get here?”

26 Jesus answered, “Very truly I tell you, you are looking for me, not because you saw the signs I performed but because you ate the loaves and had your fill. 27 Do not work for food that spoils, but for food that endures to eternal life, which the Son of Man will give you. For on him God the Father has placed his seal of approval.”

28 Then they asked him, “What must we do to do the works God requires?”   (direct question)

29 Jesus answered, “The work of God is this: to believe in the one he has sent.”   (direct answer)

30 So they asked him, “What sign then will you give that we may see it and believe you? What will you do? 31 Our ancestors ate the manna in the wilderness; as it is written: ‘He gave them bread from heaven to eat.’[c]

32 Jesus said to them, “Very truly I tell you, it is not Moses who has given you the bread from heaven, but it is my Father who gives you the true bread from heaven. 33 For the bread of God is the bread that comes down from heaven and gives life to the world.”

34 “Sir,” they said, “always give us this bread.”

35 Then Jesus declared, “I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never go hungry, and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty. 36 But as I told you, you have seen me and still you do not believe. 37 All those the Father gives me will come to me, and whoever comes to me I will never drive away. 38 For I have come down from heaven not to do my will but to do the will of him who sent me. 39 And this is the will of him who sent me, that I shall lose none of all those he has given me, but raise them up at the last day. 40 For my Father’s will is that everyone who looks to the Son and believes in him shall have eternal life, and I will raise them up at the last day.”

He did not have original sin, as was also the case with Mary.

Jesus was already ‘spirit’.

HE took on human flesh in Mary’s womb.

Did that flesh have the taint of OS?

I do not think the answer is found in Scripture.

However; if it is; I’m sure someone will post the relevant verses.
