Join with fellow FREEPERS to pray for AMERICA: For those in Authority in Government, Family, Military, Business, Healthcare, Education, Churches, and the Media. I urge, then, first of all, that requests, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for everyone: for kings and all those in authority that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. ~ 1 Timothy 2:1-2 Religion Forum Threads labeled [Prayer] are closed to debate of any kind.

Lord Jesus, how easy it is to be reminded that only you are our Rock. So many times I have looked to a political figure as my hope for justice and protection, only to be disappointed.

As the days draw nearer to Your return, we are reminded in Your word what the world will actually look like, and whom to put our trust in.

Lord You are the anchor of our soul as the river of life passes under our feet.

I waited patiently for the LORD; and he inclined unto me and heard my cry. He brought me up also out of a horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my goings…Blessed is that man that makes the LORD his trust, and respects not the proud, nor such as turn aside to lies. Ps. 40:1-4

Lord Jesus, we lift up Your church, that we would be faithful and not dwell on the past failures and the corruption of the governments. We thank you even for the trials and disappointments, for they remind us of what our faith should rely on. Only You can save us and shape us into the people that can honor You with a true heart.

Lord we also lift up our lost loved ones and the homeless, here and abroad. Do what no government can do, save and rescue them from war and tyranny. Bring them into the peace and safety of Your presence.

Lord, we pray that You will once again be welcome into our government, our schools, our culture and our homes.
